I know damn well that these Asian and Indian customers aren't gonna buy anything so I don't even bother with my sales pitch when they come in to my work...I save my energy for the whites, the person, the blacks, and everyone else who might actually buy something.
I mean seriously, those of you in sales know what I'm talking about....trying to sell to an Asian or Indian customer is as much a waste of time as trying to teach Blaine Gabbert to be a successful QB.

But let me defend myself and explain....

This is how it goes with my Asian and Indian customers...
Me: How are you doing today sir?
Them: Regular wash
It's not worth it...I can't even get to the sales pitch....not that I even care, but I'll just never understand why Asians and Indians refuse to buy anything...ever. also I don't understand why Asians never laugh or have a sense of humor, but that's a different story...

My brother is a Plant Manager for a company who very firmly believes that 20% of their customers cause 80% of their problems. They actually concentrate on the 80% and don't give the 20% special treatment. Now they are in a business that allows them to be picky (they make restaurant equipment and their profit margins are crazy high).
Still, spinning your wheels with pain the a$$ customers (or people who are unlikely to buy) is wasted effort in a lot of ways.
But then again, you sometimes get burned when you make assumptions.
Finding a very quick and easy way to figure out if it's worth investing time and effort on any potential customer is the key.

I used to work at a car wash and the sales guy used to sell about $1000 in Armor All a day to all sorts of races. Maybe your sales skills are bad and you think you work at Nordstrom and give them a long boring sales pitch.
I gotta say, alot of the upgrades at a car wash is basically useless anyways. It doesn't do much for the vehicle. For example, liquid spray wax. LOL That's like putting lotion on your skin then washing it off.

But don't you hate it when a white person is looking for anyone to tell a dumb story to and takes like 10 minutes of your life just because they live alone and no one wants to hear their story so they go around hoping anyone with an ear will hear them out.
I see it all the time, even something as simple as paying for your car wash ticket, the white lady would just make conversation just so she can hear herself talk while the asian cashier is trying to be polite all the while thinking in her head why this lady is talking about nothing, holding up the line, and not having any consideration for anyone else's time.

I agree- Asians have no time for humor.

Can't imagine why they wouldn't offer the salesperson more incentive. Pay minimum plus commission.
I haven't worked at a car wash for over 20 years but during that time I believe the sales guy got 10% of the 'armor all' sales and about $5 per hand wax.

maybe because blacks are more flashy and indians and asians dont give a garbage if you put armor all on there dashboards for 10 bucks?
how about this if you are a BMW car sales man would you help a white and black customer over an asian and indian customer? my bet is you will help the indian and asian customer FIRST.

I would sell to the white and black person over the others. They are easier to rip off and make more money off of.
All you gotta tell them is there's a sale, your credit is not as good as it needs to be and this BMW is selling like hotcakes which tells them that this vehicle won't last and they will get nervous and drop their pants.
But if you asked who is more likely gonna get approved to buy a BMW with money and credit then the asian or indian will be the more obvious choice.
I would hate making a one hour sales pitch to find out the guy has bad credit and doesn't qualify or can't afford the high interest loan he is being offered.
