who else has one or plans on getting one
I have an indoor, faraday pocket sauna. Sits in the corner of my basement, and I've never regretted the purchase. It emits 'near infrared light'. Conventional sauna at the gym goes surface level on the skin. Mine purges out toxins as deep as 8-9 inches below the skin surface. 1st few times, I had this darker grey / black substance come out of me. We live in a toxic world, brake dust, pollutants, etc, now the sweat flows out of me like it should. Got mine from Sauna Space, American made out of Missouri, no affiliation.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. Tell me more. Does it have to be in your basement? What is near infrared light? Are there negative side effects? How has it improved your health?

* can be setup anywhere, not exclusive to the basement. * near infrared light emits red light, you'd have to research, this sits on a spectrum of healing. no 'sunburn', as the infrared light purges the skin * not aware of any negative effects .... you're getting a workout in a relaxed parasympathetic state, not 'fight or flight'. Induces an artificial fever, which release 'heat shock proteins'. See, Dr Rhonda Patrick on YouTube for a more detailed rabbit hole on benefits. My skin looks great, & tight. Long term longevitiy investment to increase 'health span', up against 'life span', .... something will get us all, but this is a quality of life tool. Cold is also beneficial; cold showers / pools, ice baths, etc. anything to get the body out of constant comfort for a few minutes is beneficial. I do 20-30 min sauna, 5-6 min cold, 4x a week.

I love Rhonda Patrick. My wife just randomly started talking about wanting a sauna so I think this might be in my future.

it's an absolute upgrade in life. having one in your home instantly improves your health after using it. if you don't have one yet i think its time you wake up and stop wasting your time everyday feeling like shit.

if you want to compare commercial vs residential equipment, the sauna experience at the gym is what you want. but you gain the convenience and flexibility in your schedule by having one in your own home because you don't waste any time getting ready to leave the house and drive to the gym.
