Just got into an accident Lady backed up while i was leaving the parking lot and rear ended me.
she gave me her information and insurance info and she has mines

I dont have insurance on my car yes i know its dumb
but this was her fault.

how do i go about this ?

Just hope you hear from her again. I understand why you didn't call the cops. If that happened on private property, you can't make her pay without a police report. I learned that the hard way. If you were in a parking lot, it was probably a private one. Good Luck.

oh also she was driving a company car some school transportation i got that address of the place she told me to call her or her work place monday.

it is ILLEGAL to drive a car on a public roadway without insurance... what u do is NOTHING... you thank your lucky stars the other motorist did not know you did not have insurance and made a while story up about how it was your fault and that they had some type of injury... u chalk it up as a loss as far as ur car is concerned

I&#x27;m going to follow this with interest. Very lucky the cops didn&#x27;t show. Like another poster suggest, just move on and take the loss. Extremely stupid not having insurance.

I let the driver know i don&#x27;t have insurance. no cops were called. she made it sound like it was her fault which it was. she wants me to call her on monday for the insurance people to take a look at the damages. she has to report it because its her company car and she has my information.

it would be in your best interest not to call her!! she is mis-informed as are you about the law... you NEVER have to make an accident report in an accident where there is NO INJURY.. you can just both agree to go your seperate ways which is what u basically did that day. i guarantee you that she has talked to people now who are telling her that she should NOT admit fault and she should say you are at fault for the accident knowing you do not have insurance... in most states you have at least 10 days to report an accident.. i would highly suggest you not go any further

All u do is call her Monday,get her her insurance adjuster&#x27;s name and call them .U not having insurance has nothing to do with her hitting u.My sis has been driving for yrs without a lic and insur,,and she is far from a douche bag.She only drives a half a mileto store where she lives.Ur AN IDIOT IF U LET IT GO

you are not legally obligated to give her ANY insurance information without a police report/presence. You say that's private info since you were at fault.

She asked for it and you said yes?? Gentlemen, never ever do that.

Meantime, get insurance.

I checked with a lawyer-friend of mine and he said in my state, one has to file a police report within 10 days of an accident if the police are not called at the time of the accident. Without the report, no insurance company will pay you regardless of what the other driver days. It just doesn't pay to go without insurance. I don't know what the law says in your jurisdiction. This is probably not going to go your way.

When I was only 16, I t&#x27;boned some dudes car in a parking lot, so bad he couldnt get out his door.After he climbed out the passenger side, he was cussing and saying was on a suspended license and didnt have insurance. I said, "do we call the police? "  He said darn it, hell noI didnt have too much damage to my car, I was driving a tank so I took it as a learning experience

Not having insurance doesn&#x27;t preclude you from collecting from her insurance company. How bad was the damage?
