Good thread.
The real key in the JFK mystery is whether you believe a bullet could enter the back of a human, exit the throat, enter and exit the shoulder, enter and exit the wrist, and land undamaged.
If you do, then you can argue that there was one shooter.
I don't disagree with LHO firing three bullets. I just don't think forensically, he was the only one firing.

Read "Case Closed" by Posner. It's the best, most complete comprehensive examination of the whole thing. Answered all my questions. Forensically fascinating, but it goes well beyond that in its examination of everything surrounding what happened.

Oh, I have read it. My issues with it are three main things:
1) He claimed interviews with Secret Service that were denied by those same officers;
2) He misstated the cheek where Teague suffered his injury (was his right), which impacted angle and timing of shot;
3) He made a conclusatory statement that Oswald and Ruby did not know each other despite photos and witnesses stating they had.
There are books out there that completely debunk Posner, who only writes about the lack of conspiracies.

I think lots of the books are good, including Case Closed. My issue is that I think most of them are self-serving, depending on what the author wants the reader to believe. A few books out there raise questions, and let the reader think of ther answer.
My single biggest question is: since Oswald and Ruby knew each other and were seen and photographed together, why did Ruby and non-conspiracy believers mislead about that.
A conspiracy can also be simplistic in nature i.e. a few people involved. It never had to be the whole CIA, police force, etc.

Did this show mention something about a bullet hitting the street sign or light and some innocent person getting hit with the riccochet who couldn't understand why his leg was bleeding? The premise being there was another shot fired but it hit this street light/sign and not JFK as intended?

I read Case Closed based on Hutch's recommendation. Because of the way it, in my opinion, thoroughly examines each angle of the story, it was more than enough to convince me that there was only one shooter. Any links or books that objectively support an alternative?
Side note: JFK was killed on my birthday 24 years before I was born.
