United States and Mexico are "discussing"where he is to face charges. I personallt think it's about who gets hold of the billion dollars plus assets. That would buy 2-3 F-35's for the USAF.
A lot going on with this arrest. A lot of danger through the process I doubt Mexico can handle. The Mexican Marines agreed to go after him but only if the United States would provide an escape for them.

I caught some of this story on the news last night... Pretty interesting stuff, especially how they snuck him out of prison in a laundry basket the last time they had him in custody.

Zactly. I think the U.S pressure might be too much after that disaster. A lot of resources are going into extraditing him from Mexican soil.
United States proviides the most finacial assistance to two countries, Mexico and Chile. This will be interesting to see where he ends up. DEA, US Marshal, Dept Of Homeland and FBI were all involved with his his capture in Mazatlan. Cannot imagine the Mexicans holding him out of a U.S courtroom for much longer. We need that money.

#2 behind the IRS in revenue for the Unites States Govt cd. It is a loser on the drug inflow no doubt but the cash asset seizures helps fuel our war machine...sort of like the poppy plant war in Afgananistan...$$$$. Sick but a reality.

The Mexican Marines (ones who caught him), are asking the United States for relocation and protection for what surely is coming to them and their families.

I do wonder how long he will be there or if they will even
be able to keep him. I watched a program about Guzman and he has a lot of connections.
That is how he gets out of everything. He pays and he pays people big. The only
way they are really going to hold him is really making sure none of the people
who is handling the arrest will not be on his payroll.

It's not really him, just some schmuck that was given plastic surgery to look like him. He is actually hanging out at Disney World with Osama....
I was in Sinaloa territory this past Christmas and I can assure this is the case. The guy got paid 10m for his family and is assured the most pleasant of experiences in prison (AC, tv, nice bed, women visits, etc.)
