I am a car dealer. This summer we sold a vehicle to Kaiir Elam, the number one draft pick for the Buffalo Bills out of Florida. When negotiating the deal, I asked Kaiir if you would get my Josh Allen jersey signed for me. He told me he text Josh and Josh obliged and to send the jersey with the vehicle and he would get the autograph and send it back.
As some of you may know, I’ve been on the Buffalo Bills wagon for a couple of years now. My Denver Broncos have been atrocious and living in Kansas City has been difficult. I bought tickets to the NFL division playoff game and Kansas City and ask my best friend to go. My godson had given me a Mahomes jersey so I told my best friend to wear the Mahomes jersey and I would order a Josh Allen Jersey and we would go to arrowhead like that. I have never worn an opposing NFL jersey or even team colors into an opposing NFL stadium before, But I was like fuck that this is going to be an epic game.
during the fourth quarter, A fan who was upset that the bills had just scored a go ahead touchdown called security on me for standing up the entire game! The first of the Arrowhead personnel to come down to see me was quickly dismissed by myself. The second person that came down said that they were going to send to police officers down to arrest me if I did not go up and speak with them in the hallway. Mind you this is the fourth quarter of the most epic NFL game in modern history!
After missing five or six minutes of game time, I was allowed to return to my seat with the promise that I would not stand up anymore! At the beginning of the game I made a friendly bet with my best friend. If the bills win he wears the Josh Allen Jersey out of arrowhead. If the Chiefs win I burn the Josh Allen jersey and put that video online. I’m not proud to admit on covers, but I Welch on that bed and did not burn it. With 13 seconds left in the game and the Buffalo Bills ready to kick off, I remove the jersey and had a Chiefs fan take a picture of it draped over my best friends back. You can see the 13 seconds on the clock, my drunken cheesy ass grin smiling for all of our head to see, only to have my heart broken 13 seconds later. I knew the Chiefs were going to win the game in overtime, there was no doubt! The stadium was probably the loudest that I’ve ever heard a stadium when they won the game. It was awesome to see it and I wasn’t too heart broken because I really wasn’t a life long Bills fan.
That’s the jersey I sent to Kaiir and he got me a little video of Josh signing it and of course I asked Kaiir to sign it as well. I am going to get two separate jerseys to frame as he said he would do that because this is the one I’m going to wear!
Just thought it was a cool story. Anyone else have any cool stories?
