I honestly don't think there will ever be another fight with this much hype from here on out.  Boxing is basically dead.  This is the last big one.  So I'd go with the fight - there's a Derby every year.

This depends on a couple things. If you are talking about just the event itself, then the Derby by miles.  But, if you are asking would I rather be in Vegas on 5/2, or Louisville on 5/2, I will take Vegas all day, even if that means I have to go to the fight, which I have no real interest in seeing (in person, or otherwise really).  

Derby > Boxing

Vegas > Louisville

Never been to the Derby either, and would love to one day, but I am a sucker for a good Vegas trip. Coincidentally enough, the last time I was in Vegas was six years ago () and it was on Derby weekend, and Manny fought Hatton that night.  Mine That Bind was a longshot winner on a sloppy/muddy track.  Caesars book was quiet as a library after, except for the sound of tickets ripping.

Actually I'd rather be going to something different.  Don't forget Berkshire Hathaway meeting that day in Omaha.  Iv'e gone twice before and would like to go this year but won't be able to as my boss is going out of town.  Iv'e gone twice before its pretty fun although I'd rather go to wwe raw show anytime.

So I will go to work until 4 go home and watch the derby and then go to local races here.  Not supporting someone getting 100 million dollars off one fight.  No one deserves that kind of money. Do not think it will be that good Mayweather 38 and Paquio 36.  Five years ago it would of interested me but I have no interest in it.

Ground up boxers are the best pure raw athletes in the world. The skill is a gift at birth. Hopefully Mayweather shows that and extends his arms - it is true poetry to watch.
