I told em come back any day at 6pm.. So, what's next? I love the idea of my 19 yr old son being tossed into the world on a 2 yr mission, so I was nice, but what's next? Are these dudes gonna over stay their welcome? Shame me with their supreme Jesus knowledge? Is it gonna be a cool experience? Are we gonna pray 5000 times? I'm scared.. Please educate me.

You know what I always got pissed off before when they came to the door and politely told them to go darn themselves, but a few months ago they caught me in a good mood and talked to them a little while. They're good people and not once did I ever feel like they were pushing their religion on me. I made it clear I had no intentions of switching religions because I'm a devout catholic who goes to church two days a year. It's more of like a neighborly relationship. They stop by bullshit for a few minutes say a prayer and they're on their way. 

I like to learn different cultures and see what people are all about and they will teach you and answer any questions you may have and not get defensive about it. I've shot hoops with them a few times in their gym and took a tour of their facilities. They're plain people and nothing over the top like you see in many Catholic Churches. Very family orientated and they're good kids. I think it would be beneficial for all kids to take a year off after high school to do something like this no matter what your beliefs are.

Thanks bill, I feel exactly the way you do, n you've eased my concerns, which were apparently the same as yours.. I'm still nervous in a weird way, but screw it.. Good kids, I can set aside an hour or so.. Thank god it's not gonna be weird.

Very true, good kids. The Mormon religion however carries some intensly perverse methods that violate the core laws of the human race.

Me and the wife constantly argue about the Jehovah's witnesses that come to our house I'm polite and listen to what they have to say and talk to them they aren't bad people she on the other hand wants me to tell em to get F'd

I normally treat them like telemarketers.  I'll be nice until they start to give me the forearm shiver.  

If I'm in a good mood, I'll usually go, "I gave you the respect of letting you say your piece up front.  Please return the favor and respect the fact that I'm not interested (if I'm truly not, of course).  I will gladly take a pamphlet if you want to leave one."  

Telemarketers have to make a living so there is no need being a complete a$$ to them IMO, but if they won't respect you after you politely decline a couple of times, I lose patience.  I do realize they have a script, but I don't have unlimited time, either.

Maybe get 500 pens and enough paper to write down there names and descriptions since wallstreet thinks it's a bad idea its probably good.  Wallstreet defended pennstate relentlessly over blatant child abuse scandal so that's what he stands for.

All I know is I went to school with some Mormon kids the biggest bullies on the playground.  Meticulous they'll assault anybody and they lie about it after.  They were actually quite violent despite all the bs about peace they believe black people are cursed for there black skin they'll lie to your face about it.  I wouldn't want around my son.
