Well, it turns out in college, the All-American Jared was known for something entirely different. According to our source, while studying at Indiana University, Fogle ran a very successful pornography rental company out of his bedroom. His porn collection was vast and extensive, and Fogle took his business pretty seriously. A video would run a patron a dollar a day (cheap!), and people would come from all over to take advantage of the deal. Needless to say, Jared had enough porn to keep his customers happy.

I rarely eat Subway, but I did end up there yesterday (only because of a lack of choices) and I $hit you not the lady in front of me in line asked the question "Is a footlong like two 6-inch subs".....   It took a lot of restraint to bust out laughing, and judging from the Sandwich Artist's face, she felt the same way as me.

I also saw once an employee need a calculator to figure out the change on a $10 bill for a $5.75 sandwich when the computers were down.

Subway is arguably the greatest story of twisted American marketing in the history of the country. How do you sell sandwiches/subs with dehydrated/canned meats and cheeses from the dollar store, bread which reeks of chemicals,  use a known pervert like Jared and convince the populace that they should eat here? 

As Mr. Spock would say...fascinating.

Damn.

I want the guy to be innocent just because the charges are so disgusting and, worse, the victims are exploited in the worst of all possible ways, but if that story is true and you were part of the porn distribution industry in general...

Blimpie blows Subway out of the water!  I can't stand eating there and those $5 are a joke.  It's the same amount of meat as a 6" from Blimpie but twice amount of bread.

Agreed on that, someone mentioned Blimpies earlier, now I'm hungry. Anyone ever try a Jimmy John's
If you haven't, don't even bother. The pre-made ones wrapped up in cellophane that you get from 7-11 are better. And they deliver that s#it too!!

We have so many delis around here, that it's not even worth going to a chain sandwich shop.  But if I'm out of town, it's Blimpie.  

I'll check out Firehouse and Jersey Mike's if I ever see one around.

As for pizza, there's no reason for dominoes, pizza hut, pap johns etc in this area.  We're over saturated with pizzerias that will put any pie from a chain to shame.

I have been very impressed by Firehouse, closet one is about 30 minutes away but I try to get there at least every other week... stores are clean, good menu.   Only complaint I guess is that the regular size could be a little bigger and their cookies are frozen not fresh baked, but that's just nitpicking.  Brisket is good, cheese steak is good, and I love the Turkey Salsa Verde sandwich too.  Cherry Limeaid is awesome...

Surprised that in NJ you don't have one closeby? I loved it when Jersey Mikes franchised out to FL.I grew up on them from the original store on the Shore..

Pretty accurate  BWS77..Only tried Firehouse once but it was not bad..

I was drunk in Vegas once and ordered that Subway flatbread pizza ..In and out of me in 10 minutes..worst fast food I have paid $ for..
