When I started betting with my bookie, I asked him, do you have a cutoff, say 300? when i get up 300, i get paid, down 300... I pay up.
He replied, nothing set in stone, we do it "about every 2 weeks"
I asked if he would give me a limit of +/- 300, he said "300 is fine"
So I sit here and bet for 5 weeks... hovering around even for some time. I get agressive one weekend to try and hit that +300. I whiffed, got down 200. 3 days later he says they need to pay someone else who is up, and I need to pay up by next week.
I instantly was confused. As I said I was under the assumption that I didn't have to pay out till i hit 300. So I told him I planned my betting around that 300, and to suddenly be told to pay up is not right. he told me "i don't care how you plan your betting I gave you a week to let you know we're squaring up, it's not random, you had all weekend."
I said, if you're not honoring the line of 300, what was the point in agreeing to it.
He replies, "300 is the limit where your not allowed to bet, I can still square up anytime if its under 300, that's what you don't get"
.... So really... am I in the wrong? Did I somehow misinterpret my own +/- 300 I got him to agree with?
Thanks in advance.

Driscoll, you are the worst kind of account. He's probably trying to dump you. Sounds like you got stuck 200 and didn't bet for a week. Just what a book wants; a player who doesn't play cause he's got a stupid carry figure. That's why he tried to steer you off it originally by saying "not set in stone".

Just tell him you'll pay when you feel like it. Phuq him.
Would he pay you based upon his ridiculous terms?
Call him up and just say "Not gonna happen dude until we agree on a settle number and day. "Tuesday."
If you need some help, PM Detox, he'll binge, get high as hell 12 guage the matter out. TJ will swoop in and remove all of his appliances for his rusty ole trailer. You're good bra.

Yikes. I remember running to the oilfield because I was ducking a bookie I owed 3K to...after paying him 2K!
Highly doubt you'll have to move out of state and work 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for months on end just to avoid somebody over 200 f'n dollars.
So I'd tell the boner to wait and pay him when you feel like it. And in the meantime go online because a bookie worried about paying somebody else with your money and it's under 500 bucks...well it sounds like you won't be getting paid anytime soon if you're up 200.

....Just go over to his phuggin dump apartment with money, show it to him and explain the matter of non agreement on settle up amount and day. Do it while you have a grip on his lower chin. Squeeze tighter if he's combative.
Don't leave a mark.

I love how OP's that come in here and fire off stuff like this never come back for closure. They make the one "what to do" post and they never come back with the outcome.
I really wanted to see if this guy got his nuts knocked in over 200 dollars.

Well, maybe he didn't get the support he was looking for. It's one thing if his book demands the money right away but......

if I had a deal where you didn't collect or pay up unless it was +- 300 and I was being hounded for 200 that would be an instant red flag. Good luck getting paid out after a big week. I'd tell him to blow me and give him a hard time for weeks. probably would never pay honestly under those conditions

Pay him and move on sounds like a douche in the middle to me, he rolls it off on a real guy and he is probably the one who is stuck and needs to pick up from all his chippys to pay the man.
