Skip the light beer man. Heineken works well or any other European beer. You want a good "session" beer if your goal is to get drunk. The key to a good session beer is that it must be light enough in body to not bloat you after 3 or 4 and to have some taste, as in a quality beer. European or Canadian beer is usually a good choice as it's generally higher in alcohol (above 5%), not that heavy, and tastes better than most others.
The big boy American brewing companies all capped all their regular beer at 5% about seven years ago. As in Anheuser-Busch, Miller Brewing Co, Coors Brewing Co..all their regular, non-light beer is 5% alcohol. Before that, it varied. Why they got together and changed all at once, only they know (I could guess). The alcohol content of light varieties of their beers still varies.
GL with the getting hammered thing ...but make sure after success, while still very drunk, come back here and give us a full report.

Honestly, the easiest beer for me to get drunk on is Leinie's Summer Shandy. It's like drinking spiked lemonade....but it's not too sweet so they don't fill you up. Can plow through a 6 pack in a bit more then an hour and not even feel bloated. It's only seasonal up here so I'm done until May or June.

If you're going the ABV route, it's tough to top Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA (21% ABV). There're youtubes of people chugging these... their reactions are priceless. I have a hard time finishing one in less than 45 minutes, but at $10 a bottle, I better savour the beer.
Belgium beer has great taste and is typically around 7-12% ABV, but it can be expensive. Since you're on the east coast, Unibroue is a brewery out of Quebec that brews Belgium-style beer and should be easy to find without breaking the bank. I recommend Don de Dieu.

If you are honestly only trying to get drunk the best is any kind Milwaukee's Best. Stuff doesnt taste all that great but has a little more alchol than the typicall American "light" beer, is not filling, and cheep.
If your going to drink that you may as well grab a few 40's of P-stock tho.
