MGM (Bovada) is the best sportsbook in Jersey. And Nevada. Simply the best, they just let you wager without any bs.
After that, Caesars. Not great, but serviceable, and a large area with seats to watch games.
William Hill (Tropicana, Ocean) is horrible-they only accept losers. May as well be the Bovada of the brick and mortar sportsbook. If you placed a large wager with them, it's only because they think you're a sucker and they're on the right side. Everybody knows they're the sucker book, the ultimate place where all the degenerate losers go to waste their lives away and bet small change.
Draft Kings (is horrible). They rip you off with parlay odds, and try every way to rip you off. Golden Nugget the same-they have some crazy odds system that's a joke-with horrible alternative lines. Both of these books are scammers. These new Jersey books suck. You feel like the mafia is running these books, where you can't win.
The Hard Rock book is decent, but small. Maybe 2 tellers. No issue, just small.
Basically if you're going to Jersey, go to MGM's Bovada. That's by far the best. Moneyline restaurant and bar to watch the game (lucky if you get a seat).
After that, Caesars, if you want to go to Caesars or Harrah's. If you want small, Hard Rock.
After that, it's not worth it imo. You're just headed into scamville, other than Hard Rock-small book but no issue.
Jersey has a long ways to go to match Vegas, imo. Except for MGM and Caesars..which, as in Nevada, are also quality books (MGM being the best). CG Technology used to be good, but I haven't been there in a while and I assume with their new accounting system it now sux also, but I haven't checked.

And I ask anyone who has been there, to tell me otherwise...I think I"m speaking the absolute truth, from anyone in the know (behind the book or in front of it).

Look at MGM in Vegas, or in Jersey....especially Jersey, people can't get a seat. It's live and it's happening.
Credit to MGM and their management. You feel like you can focus on the game, and enjoy the atmosphere..and not have to deal with the people behind the counter.
William Hill also constantly harasses you to sign up online...because they want to track your progress. Another reason william hill sux. People don't want to be part of some database where the only way they like you is if you lose...and if you get lucky and win, then they get upset and want to limit you. What kind of hs is that.

For all the states that are going to legalize gambling...I can only pray that an MGM or Caesars, or a quality book shows up.
And not a William Hill or Draft Kings (unless Draft Kings comes up with better odds). Especially not William Hill...who everyone hates.
jmo fellas..but like I said, I ask anyone to say anything that's not true here.
