OCD. Been around it?

One friend of mine eats the EXACT same meal EVERYNIGHT. Same plate, same fork, knife etc...at precisely the same time to the minute.

I told him he might want to vary his diet a little in a patronizing tone, he didn't appreciate the comment..I told him to fuck off and see a shrink..end of friendship.

 

Guys learn the sighns in women also. Do NOT get involved with an OCD chic. You will prey for a beheading or any other quick death.

She was a total neat freak. No one else could clean up a mess good enough. She had to do it. Only she could clean it to her standards. I do know she's on meds these days though. Not sure how bad it is anymore.

And I agree. Stay away from OCD chicks. Totally not worth it.

Absolutely.  No offense to anybody that has it severely of course. Untreated and unrecognized it's a bomb in a school yard though. Then again so is everything else.

Pretty much everybody in this gambling forum is a little compulsive to be doing what we do.

My sister who's a practicing pychologist with years of experience has it. She of course was diagnosed long ago and keeps it under control.

To be honest, he probably doesn't have a clue as to why either. OCD is a mental disorder afterall, which can be helped with medication in severe cases like this.

I worked in inpatient psych for 10 yrs. Won't even begin to tell you the shit I saw but did see some very destructive cases of OCD. Kids washing their hands until they bleed, etc.  It's a very misunderstood and frustrrating disorder...even for mental health professionals.

Tux, I feel for you and your daughter. That is tough.  If you can get her into a good Psych you might be able to break it. I saw some SEVERE cases have fairly good success.

We do all have some symptoms of it, minor of course in most cases.
