I don&#x27;t foresee a blowout.  In fact, if I can get the Seminoles at more than a TD, I&#x27;ll probably jump on it.Initially I was eyeing the OVER in this game, but after viewing the Alabama scrimmage on Saturday, I&#x27;m starting to re-think the wisdom of that play.It was just a scrimmage - which is an important factor given that QBs need only be touched - but based on what I saw, Hurts&#x27; ability to attack the defense down the field still looks very shaky.I&#x27;m not really sure what I&#x27;m going to do with this game.

Well, you touch on an area of primary concern with respect to FSU.  What will the running game look like in the absence of Dalvin Cook?  It is difficult to foresee Jimbo&#x27;s pro-style offense having much success in the running game against Bama&#x27;s front 7.  Pass blocking in general also concerns me, especially the RBs.I&#x27;m a little concerned about Bama&#x27;s depth along the defensive line, but was very impressed with their play in the scrimmage.  Again, it&#x27;s only a scrimmage, but I was surprised at how well they looked.

Awesome u are on the under... been waiting months for the total to come out.... hope it&#x27;s reasonable... I see a defensive stalemate...fl st gets frustrated and quits like they usually do...bama wears them down to a low total game...hurts ain&#x27;t the passer but he keeps plays alive and is hard to tackle...I don&#x27;t see to much air attack in this game...I&#x27;m curious what you think the over under should be set at...

If there is so much unsettled in your mind about whether FSU can compete/keep is close in game 1, then you are assuming Jimbo is a dummy to ok this game at start the season?I think Jimbo is quite sure of what he is up against because he figures he will have his team ready on offense despite facing an almost 10/10 on defense! He is rallying his troops to overcome right out of the gate rather than letting his team know they are being thrown to the lions...Neutral field...the &#x2B;7 is a nice number

Good to see u Jimmy. I am with you on the under. That 49.5 looks suspiciously low. I think this game comes down to defense and depth. Fla state doesn't have the wide receiver threats of past Noles teams. I think both teams come in with a run first approach and instruct their and not to lose the game. I like a 2 team 6pt tease Bama-1 and Under 55.5.

I was looking for some barking dogs. Thinking Wyoming, Troy, Mid Tenn and Ball State qualify. Would u be so kind as to share your thoughts on these?

I have had very little time to handicap games or post.Although everything in the Alabama/Florida State matchup points to the defenses being way ahead of the offenses, my gut feeling all summer has been that this game will go OVER the total.  Follow my gut feeling at your own risk.If you want to play UNDER the total - a much more logical play - I would highly recommend playing the 1st half UNDER provided you can get 24.5 or better.As far as the side is concerned, I&#x27;m on Florida State &#x2B;7.5 (-120).  Like Clemson, Florida State has the talent to matchup with Alabama, although I&#x27;m not convinced they have the depth.  Ultimately I do think Alabama will manage to pull of a squeaker.  I&#x27;ll call for a 31-27 Alabama victory. I will say I don&#x27;t consider either of my plays on this game to be strong plays, so follow at your own risk.Alabama vs. Florida State &#x2B;7.5 (-120)Alabama vs. Florida State OVER 49 (-120)My "Best Bet" is:Maryland @ Texas OVER 56  ** Best Bet **As far a barking dogs are concerned, I will take a flyer on:Navy @ FAU ML
