I am finally finding more time to read the forums but i see that familiar faces from back in the day are all gone.  I know the covers/wagerline merger did not help since a lot of names were changed (including mine from CollegeRounder)

Are the old dogs still around?  The old school boys from Calvin's era?

The old time regulars will be found here and there, the box not as much as in the past.

I had my name swapped at the merge too, so did guys like rickey.

That merger was back in around late '05 to early '06 I believe.

Used to be a VIP room by invitation. Don't recall the year but it was definitely prior 2003.

You didn't set foot in there with a pick/post without a strong level of information.

There was a funny dude-coronaball what happend to him :)

Any chance covers can bring back my old name?

Nope unfortunately, the wagerline name trumps Covers and it is all we got.

At one time Rizzo did say they'll bring this up to the IT people at their meetings. Never really sure what became of it.

Getliquid was a Covers classic, no doubt.
That guy would argue with everyone and anyone ... "picks from the trailer park" 

He was real good at college football, and had a couple of great runs.
He also had a few bad streaks, which guys around here seem to forget when romanticizing about him.

Getliquid left here to start his own forum, and he actually had a fair amount of people on his site. I haven't been there myself in years, and I understand it is no longer operational.

One year his College Football Picks were just ridiculous.  I would wait for his PFTTP and blindly tail whatever he threw out there.  That guy made me a ton of party money that season.
