 This is by far the worst/most horrifying sports scandal ever !

I think that Penn State's football program should be suspended for 13 years, one for each year that PSU knew about the molestation of little boys and did NOTHING about it.

this is so fucked up.  all the rest of these guys should spend the rest of their lives in prison.

"In order to avoid the consequences of bad publicity, the most powerful leaders at the university -- Spanier, Schultz, Paterno and Curley -- repeatedly concealed critical facts relating to Sandusky's child abuse," the report said.

Some of the most powerful men at the school "empowered Sandusky to attract potential victims to the campus and football events by allowing him to have continued, unrestricted and unsupervised access" to campus and his affiliation with the football program, the report said. The access, the report states, "provided Sandusky with the very currency that enabled him to attract his victims."

Question :

When the powers that be first decided to sweep this under the rug, why didn't they take the trash (Sandusky) out ? A simple Goodbye and time to leave with some severance pay (hush money) would have been the proper protocol. But instead Sandusky is allowed to build his own perverted castle within the kingdom of Happy Valley (how ironic)

Likely answer :

Sandusky had dirt on at least one of those 4 guys(Paterno,Spanier,Schultz,Curley)  which enabled him to call the shots. So which one  was Jerry's partner in pedophilic crime ?

Is JoePa in heaven?  SirJohnDrake would say yes.  He was a lover of God.....no doubt about it.

The NCAA needs to get off its cowardly ass and suspend the program for at least 3 years. "Lack of institutional control" is the basis the program suspension.

You better do the right thing, NCAA.

The Freeh report says the main cause of the university's failure was a desire to avoid bad publicity. Also contributing:

  • A striking lack of empathy for child abuse victims.
  • Lack of oversight by the board of trustees.
  • "A president who discouraged discussion and dissent."
  • Ignorance of child abuse issues and laws.
  • A football program that had opted out of university programs and training on reporting requirements.
  • "A culture of reverence for the football program that is ingrained at all levels of the campus community."

I don't even have words to talk about the betrayal that I feel. (The graduate assistant) was a grown man, and he saw a boy being sodomized. . . . He ran and called his daddy?

whats the big deal about this paterno was a piece of crap but the authorities and da knew about this and did nothing so what could anyone there do at that time if someone is not guilty or even charged

now 01 is a different story entirely but 98 is not his fault
