Question :
When the powers that be first decided to sweep this under the rug, why didn't they take the trash (Sandusky) out ? A simple Goodbye and time to leave with some severance pay (hush money) would have been the proper protocol. But instead Sandusky is allowed to build his own perverted castle within the kingdom of Happy Valley (how ironic)

The Freeh report says the main cause of the university's failure was a desire to avoid bad publicity. Also contributing:
- A striking lack of empathy for child abuse victims.
- Lack of oversight by the board of trustees.
- "A president who discouraged discussion and dissent."
- Ignorance of child abuse issues and laws.
- A football program that had opted out of university programs and training on reporting requirements.
- "A culture of reverence for the football program that is ingrained at all levels of the campus community."

whats the big deal about this paterno was a piece of crap but the authorities and da knew about this and did nothing so what could anyone there do at that time if someone is not guilty or even charged
now 01 is a different story entirely but 98 is not his fault
