Man I remember three years ago I was summoned. I was skeptical and could not believe I was chosen. I was like fuck this is gonna suck. It was only supposed to take a few days. It went from like November 5th and we didn't finish until the night before Thanksgiving.
I ended up loving it. Trial was boring. Eminent domain was the trial. Got to wake up late. Would get there around 9:30. Lunch at noon. Home by 5:00. My work had to pay me for each day of work missed too. It was like a vacation. Best part was they paid us I think $45.00 a day. We got it at the end. When I went to turn it in to my human resources, she was like fuck it, just keep it. It was great.

Been through it twice in 3 years and I can't hit 4 # of 6 in the Fl lottery once same time frame,,Only hundreds of draws
Luckily just a half -day deal both times and sent home as one-by-one others were picked off left and right of me to field the prelim jurors in another room...whew..
I always come away with the feeling I would not want to be on trial if innocent, and knew the jury just had to interrupt thier daily routine to be at a fucking courthouse full of cops and lawyers like you had a speeding ticket to pay or YOUR FAULT to be there in the first place....and to be there at freaking 8am which means leaving the house at 6am,where you must park in the jury lot for the buses to courthouse..laughable...and fun in the poring rain last trip.
Give jury duty to the retired people who are willing and want to serve on a jury, they do have more life experience imo,and more time to listen to both sides of the story..
