I have Citizens insurance with a $2500 deductible and had a new roof in 2005 put on my house. Now there is a leak in my flat roof that was replaced 6 years ago. It drips from inside when a big rain comes along and there is also a ring on the inside ceiling from water. The Roofing company warranty is up and they are no longer around anyway. So I need to make a claim. Should I just make a claim with Insurance Company OR Hire a Public Adjuster here?
Thanks in advance to anyone with advice!

Most insurance policies only pay to repair the damage that was caused from the leak. It's usually the homeowners responsibility to fix the leak, the actual source of the problem, then they'll pay for any damage that resulted. If you had a rubber roof installed on that flat section, easy enough to do the repairs once you find the source of the leak. If you had rolled roofing (thing of the past, so I hope not), Lexonite or an overlay is the only way to repair. BOL
