RIP Macho Man Randy Savage

TMZ is reporting he passed away as the result of a car accident in Florida today.... he was one of the best of all time. One of my favorite promos of his -- "and the beat goes on...."

I am not really into the whole WWF thing, but when I was younger I would watch just to see Randy. He was great.

Sucks he pissed off Vince and was pretty much blackballed. Maybe they will put him in now. Although if the rumors are true I don't blame Vince for being pissed at him and surprised he didn't beat the shit out of him.

But anyway.

Absolutely RIP Randy "the Macho Man" Savage.  Truely a part of the golden age of wrestling.  My favorite moment involving the Macho Man was the love triangle between him, George "the Animal" Steele and Elizabeth.  Made for great television.

From what I see it was the heart attack that killed him, not the impact of the wreck.

You got to wonder Lipps if it was all the steriods that lead to his heart disease.  That is one of the side effects.

Oh I'm sure the steriod debate will heat up once again. Don't know about a history of heart problems in his family and such. But you wouldn't think diet and general excercise would ever be a problem.

Sure it is probably is factored in somewhow.

From the same home town as Macho Man. Downers grove IL. He was a Hometown hero for me and my friends when we were young. He was a born entertainer and terrific athlete. he played ball for the cards and white sox before taking up wrestling.  RIP Randy... OHHHHH YAAAAAA!!!
