THe game of roulette is RANDOM, but that does not mean EVERY number will be drawn equally---
Ex- You will see over time, that dealers repeat numbers. Its just the way it is-
1. Math accounts for what you are talking about - it is called "variance".
2. Im not "bashing". I realize to you it sounds like I am, but I am presenting mathematics as my evidence. Your evidence is not math based. Thats OK.
3. You cannot predict where a ball is going to land. If you can, and if you can feel the "ENERGY", then I suggest you apply to be tested by any one of a number of scientists who will give you millions to prove any such ability. Why waste your time gambling on roulette when you can be handed million dollar checks just for proving your ability?

this guy just doesn't get it Van. You can explain it using the easiest to understand terms but he clearly does not have the mental capacity to understand that what he is saying is a proven fact to be wrong and not even just a little wrong, i mean completely wrong.
There is no such thing as "due" - if the number 8 hasnt been spun for 500 spins, the odds of it being spun in spin 501 is the exact same as the 1st spin. The weheel has no idea that it hasnt been spun in that long. It is an object with no brain power at all Sammy. Sorta like yourself. The odds of it hitting an 8 are the same, every spin, regardless of your garbage theories like wind

vanzack,
I was going to post something, but I see you have it well in hand.
I see this one, blackjack and craps threads here and will just shake my head 99% of the time. No wonder why they keep building casinos when the economy sucks.
There is one born every moment.

OK, I am getting a good laugh out of this. There are some people out there that don't understand math. I'm pretty sure that 90% of the people on this board will realize that this "strategy" is complete b.s. but it does provide a pretty good illustration of why most people fail at sports gambling.
People expect that random numbers will not form patterns. Random numbers do form patterns. These patterns occasionally overlap with things that seem like they should be significant but aren't. If the Roulette wheel has landed on an odd number 7 of the last 10, is that significant? Absolutely not.
If the Jaguars have beaten the spread in 7 of the last 10 night games on artificial turf, is that significant? Almost certainly not, but quite a few people will mistakenly think that it is.
The biggest lesson of all of gambling.
Don't be surprised when random numbers form patterns. They will. Its perfectly natural. Will the pattern continue? It might.
Betting on it continuing is a mistake. Betting on it not continuing is also a mistake.

the last sentance is so true, I have a friend who is a dealer at the casino and he can get the ball to land in any area he wants, not any number, but any area of the wheel. If you pay attention the the are around where the ball is landing you can make big money

If this is true....(and I have serious doubts...to say the least) you still need the dealer to be acting in collusion with you to defraud the casino.
I suppose I might believe in this "strategy" if my best friend was a dealer and we had set up a roulette wheel in my garage and he had proven his ability over thousands of practice spins.
For those of us without friends with proven roulette spinning ability, this "strategy" is completely useless.
