Surprising seeing that no violence broke out at the 2015 West Texas 'Indian People Smell Like Curry and Stole my Engineering Job' Fair.  And it was total peace at the Corpus Christi Chinkkk and Dinkkk Cook Off.  

Just a few more postcard moments from our favorite, most tolerant state in the union: TEXAS!

Are you a Muslim drizzle?

Not meant to be an insult or accusation.  I just find it hard to believe you can be this clueless without being a biased Muslim.

Criticize people for drawing something, but not the 2 Muslims for shooting at people for drawing something? 

The purpose of what they did has either completely gone over your head or ur too blinded by your religion to see it.

Yeah, no, I didn't write the article published by NBC, I just linked it.  Then I noted the hilarious aspect of there being a "Draw Muhammed" competition by making up two other fictitious events that may or may not have some racial humor behind it depending on your taste and ability to grasp ironic comedy.  And then I wrote how something so hilariously racist and intolerant could only be held in the state of Texas- this, of course a state known for its intolerance and racism.

Side anecdotes really without paying much homage to the actual story itself. 

But yeah, I guess in between the lines you could see how I was really calling these shooters heroes without really understanding what was actually happening, even though I linked a thorough description of the events that took place.  

In the future I'll re-click on this post and realize why I don't post on GD anymore.

I mean F+ck the Muzzies that were killed but dd we really need to have a contest of that nature and for what? to draw the ire of a people who actually believe they will receive 40 virgins if they die a Martyr?

You mean jacklighting Mexicans on the Juarez/El Paso border!

There is no event held in Texas anymore that will surprise me.

 The fact that they had $10,000 in prizes for this contest just has my stomach hurting that much more from the laughter.  We will give you rewards for antagonizing the most proactive, retaliatory group in the name of religion you'll find!!!

All in the name to remind themselves that they have freedom of speech.  So much so, that during the newscast the group broke out into "God bless America" while waiting for the shootout to end outside, and after being informed by a trooper that explosives may be in the gunmen's vehicle.  F**k it, hold up that American flag, your portrait of Muhammad with a boner in his mouth titled Monet's: sand ni**er, and your freedom of speech/CPR card and wait for this all to blow over while joining in patriotic song.

What they do in Texas reminds me of that character Crazy Joe Davola from Seinfeld. Elaine once asked him did he realize he left his front door open and he responded "Yes. I like to encourage intruders."

When you saw "Draw!" in Texas, the instructions may have been confusing..........

I understand what you meant

I am just pointing out the big difference.  The two fictitious events would be something done just for pure intolerance and racial hatred. 

Indian people and guy a Dinks (?) aren't going around shooting people or trying to blow things up whenever they get offended by people saying or doing something. 

There is meaning and defiance behind this "draw Muhammed".  Yes it was inflammatory and it was meant to be, to say "we will not be intimidated into saying or not saying what we want to."

I guess you think the Boston Tea Party was a waste of time too?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the motive behind  the "draw muhammed" contest was to flush out some local terroristas.

An interesting idea to identify the level of jihadi activity in your local community....have a coloring contest.

AS USUAL...well thought out / researched opinions here....

Not that I am one to defend Texas.......ever

  *But this event had nothing to do with Texans....it was hosted by a NEW YORKER.....Pamela Geller....in Garland at the same spot a pro-Islam rally was held in January...one in which she led a protest attended by 1500-2000 people supposedly....(this was soon after the shootings in France > explaining the theme for the Garland rally)

This is the same chick that led the protests in NYC post 9/11 .....vs the building of that mosque close to Ground Zero.....and the anti-Muslim billboards in NY subways......and MUCH more

    *and most importantly...........not bad either.....especially for mid 50's

The differ, hot shot.  This event had EVERYTHING to do with Texas.  The sheer fact that a New Yorker had to travel all the way to Garland, TX to host this inaugural event tells me everything I need to know about expectations of Texans.

She went to an area in this country where she knew she'd have the fullest, upright support of the community.  

She is a stunningly good marketer.  The set up was perfect.  Hate-filled mongers in an area where an infuriating pro-Islam rally was conducted in a state where freedom of speech is stretched to the ultimate bend.  Now the (anticipated) shooting garnered national attention.  Her movement has springboard onto the national stage.  Not only does her belief system trend, but so does her career, fortune and so on.

Brilliant.  This should be the next "Are you Type E" commercial with Kevin Spacey.

NOPE......TEXAS / Garland...... HOSTED THE PRO-MUSLIM EVENT.....that's the only reason she was ever in Texas.....to PROTEST THAT EVENT.....held in January

UNLIKE YOURSELF.....many Texans YOU BET were not sympathetic to the Muslim cause ....especially since several speakers had (alleged) ties to 9/11.....and supported her in a big way.....(mainly it was soon after the Charlie Hebdo thing) 

  NOTE:  all her work has been done in NEW YORK.....often with little support and HEAVY opposition / constant threats

INTERESTING......looks like YOU believe the parties at fault were Geller and TEXAS  wtf ............

Alright bookieassassian.  Now why do you have to do that?  I'm going to give you a chance to prove that you are not like the many at GD that refuse to read what somebody actually wrote by putting in your own words for your own agenda.

I never once said I was in support of these terrorists, and you know that.  Anybody that has the ability to read knows that.

I find it incredibly intolerant of a community that has ties to Islam to partake in a "draw Muhammad" contest in the name of antagonizing.  This proves that I don't believe all Muslims are terrorists.  It also proves that I believe in a line between freedom of speech and hate speech.  And lastly that I'm not one for rattling a dogs cage over and over again until I wind up on the wrong side of the kennel.

I also think that Geller is a marketing genius who no doubt wanted to stir up controversy in the right area at the right time.  Really all I said about her.  She's a cerebral businesswoman that knows how to get national attention.  

Now, that clearly and blatantly sums up what I was really quoted as saying.  

So where in all of that did you read into Islamic brotherhood, terrorism sympathizer and that mass murderers were mistreated.  And then that of course I'd love to protest terrorists being killed?

Think about what you said.  Think about how the majority of people on here will look at what you said about me, and then look at what I actually wrote, and then find you as a very non-credible poster.  Now what I originally posted as a hilarious act of intolerance in the state of Texas, where two murderers got their justice served, is now a serious, pathetic attempt to point false fingers and call somebody something they are not. But you added a bunch of emoticons so it somehow helps your case, I guess.

So know I have to be serious and ask you why?  Why say false words?  It wasn't like I whispered it to you.  I typed it out.  Then you quoted me.  Then you misquoted me right below my real quotes.  You can't be that stupid because you had the ability to log on today and type words that are coherent.  Is it because you don't agree that all Muslims aren't terrorists?  Or that a draw muhammad contest is a great way to spend an evening?  Or that Texas doesn't have a strong, proud history of intolerance?

Stopped reading as soon as I saw this. "I never once said I was in support of these terrorists, and you know that."

This is what Drizzle does.  He makes a thread about a confrontation, altercation, or some type of event that has 2 sides.  He attacks one side, then backpedals when called out for it saying he isn't for the other side.

In a shootout in which one side is drawing some stuff and another side rolls up and open fires, you attacking the side who is drawing means by default you support the other.  By criticizing the first you are justifying the actions of the other.  Common sense and logic.

Hey you're entitled to your opinion, just own up to it.  The next time you face Mecca or Medina or whatever maybe ask Allah for the strength to be honest with yourself.

I remember an episode of "Cops" once where they did basically the same thing. They rounded up a bunch of deadbeats with multiple outstanding warrants by offering "Free Oakland Raiders Tickets"
