It was a 4 banger. Had decent power. Most American cars usually have good power probably because of the torque.
I drove a 2013 and a 2012. I think both cars had the same front end noise so most likely it's normal. Unbalanced tires would make same noise. Could also be cheap factory tires. Or sometimes just bad nvh design. The car isn't that pricey so I wouldn't be suprised it's something that is part of the cars build.
