Survey - What brought you to Covers?

Hey all, we are really interested in finding out what brought our members to the site and would love for as many of you to participate in this survey!

I was a fan of Lou and Rizzo before Lou was Lou and Rizzo was The Rizz....

Following a passion, I was seeking streaks, & streak survivor provided a platform that I could fade outliers, either extremely good runs or bad runs, didn’t matter.  Since then, moved on w/ free source coding program based in python.  The move exposed ‘law of large numbers’, ‘regression to the mean’, etc, & the rest is history.  It’s not generational wealth, but thanks to Covers for laying the foundation to, ‘paying my bills’. 

I was looking for data/statistics & information.

The forums added opinions that assisted in my capping as well as different perspectives to consider when placing a wager.

I enjoy what Covers provides & appreciate the efforts of all involved.

There was guy named Shrimp58 who gave awesome weather and detailed injury reports all in bullet form ...he had a great avi also . I was hooked after that . I havnt seen him around but would like to thank him

started using the site for stats back in 2005/06 and only got to the forum around 2009 thru listening to Teddy and the Prez's radio show which I used to listen to back in the day

Ted Sevransky aka Teddy Covers and Lawrence Prezman used to be Covers Experts and now feature on a show on youtube with other cappers

 Yes, Lou had a beard and lots of body hair....you couldn't tell where the beard ended and the chest hair began....he was hairy potter before the magical broom dude....Lou invented quidditch but instead of witches and wizards playing he played with bitches and lizzards...folk lore had it that Lou had a cow's tongue...ladies flocked to it and couldn't resist it and once they were licked by it they stopped eating meat...Lou is legendary status

How can you post odds/lines on matchups without posting both starting pitchers?

Other sites give better updates than you folk

I already have the starting pitchers for every game and yet you ppl don't update so that diverts your traffic to other sites to get that info

 i found out about covers on the back of the betting sheets here in vegas in 2004

they used to  print "stats from covers.com"

College football forum. Bookie Assassin had some great early season posts.

came here for the stats and info. stayed in the forums to read the opinions on matchups, and sometimes to contribute.

Python rips thru math, & applicable to an array of tasks.  Initially I was using Excel, which was good, but the data would seize up the memory.  Python allows you to simulate billions of ‘digital touts’, from which you can capitalize on outliers.  (good or bad outliers)  Casinos have a steady stream of customers who don’t understand bankroll management, law of large numbers, gamblers fallacy, martingale systems, etc.  Python enables the gambler to deep dive beyond the trappings that built the strip.

I had a customer at bar I worked at told me about covers as a place to meet other gamblers and get info, much different site then.

 I'd be happy to participate in the survey! Understanding the reasons behind why members visit Covers will help improve the experience for everyone.

Last I heard, this Shrimp character eloped with another member who went by the name of Starwink.

I'm not sure who would be the man in their relationship, as they both seemed a little light in the loafers.

Time is overrated, but your watch is forthcoming...the order was spelled wrong and put in as folex instead of rolex, so you should be getting a bottle of carpet stain remover soon...just as soon as we can get rid of these raincoats your watch is up for shitment

As for starwink and shrinmpy...starfish is close to starwink and those bastards never die so that has to be the female...with shrimp, it's in the name and would imagine it's how he is hung as well...and we're talkin cocktail kind not jumbo

I didnt know that about Shrimp....light in the loafers really made me second guess that whole experience as it was many moons ago...now that I rethink it ....you sir make a lot of sense 

The stats, the posters (Not going to name any for fear of leaving to many out.), the prizes (Thanks for all the hoodies and hats.), etc.
