How about the city of Compton?

Then we'll go city by city after that. I'll do it.

Square mile doesn't work comparing LA to Houston.

Besides Compton, Houston is worse percentage wise compared to other LA county cities.  
   Long Beach looks like Irvine compared to Houston.  
Houston has a very high burglary rate.

Texas vs California and then we have a statistic. Houston/LA is impossible.

Worldwide trend favors more gun control in the future. More guns more laws.   After assassination of Kennedy,  gun control continues to expand in USA.

Anybody have statistics on violent crimes from gun country vs no gun country?  Like, maybe Japan vs USA?  Guns allowed in Europe?  I'd like to know the stats on that before I bash the 2nd amendment and it's consequences.

Japan and Taiwan are two of the lowest crime rate in the world, while Venezuela and Guatemala top the world on the crime rate. United States is sitting around middle of the pack.

You miss the point.  People who massacre a movie theater full of people don't care about the law.  The bad people are going to get these weapons if they want them.

i say better, but there's no way to know.  the nra's interests seem to begin and end with the gun manufacturers' financial statement.

You are correct.  Ill just break into your house and steal your guns.   Or I can just take my mom or dads guns.

Sandy hook, columbine, colorado theater, Giffords shooting.   Guns attained legally or taken from parents who purchased them legally.

Further, why don't you tell us why the person who started out the press conference after the Toomey/Manchin amendment defeat said the legislation wouldn't have saved those children?

When I read  crass emotionalism such as "pat yourself on the back after the next mass-killing" I wonder, who are you trying to convince, yourself?

I ask that because the kid who killed the students and teachers at Sandy Hook stole the guns so "background checks" are irrelevant (He also did it in a state with an Assault Weapons Ban modeled after the 1994 federal legislation).
The nut who shot Gabby Giffords passed a background check.
The nut who murdered those people in Colorado in the movie theater passed a background check.

So by invoking such emotionalism on a solution (Toomey/Manchin is a fake solution to a non-existent problem in America) that does not address the problem you're talking about, are you trying to convince yourself you care?
