I actually think this is good for you, clearly you are at a low in your life with the opposite sex. This will make you a wiser older man one day, hopefully sooner than later. 8 months is a little long for you to be still sprung tho, especially after only having life history for 3 months.

I will share one more nugget that came from a much less sensitive friend and I love him for this concept too....NEVER stop writing insurance policies until you are married, always have a fallback broad for times of need.
STEP IT UP and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Women are great, go get a new one. Create a goal list, taste the rainbow. Go do a black girl, a latina, a phillipina, etc...start experiencing different women, international women! They are so bomb, wake up and go pound the world!!!

THIS. Plus the fact you mention your own friends won't invite you out cause they know you'll kill the buzz. Just like most guys are saying "time will tell/heal" ... the same goes for "all my friends hate her". I don't know about your ex, but I can't imagine a Vag that has your back like your friends do. It may be the best thing you've ever had (at 24, LOL)...but it all gets old.
