USA was built on immigration, and it has always been poor people immigrating here. And people who have been here a little longer than other people have always hated the newcomers, and blamed their problems on them.
So, when was this country "great"? The 80s? The 50s? The 1900s?
It is my experience that first and second generation immigrants do all the hard work, and people here longer than that are fat and lazy.

In the 60's, the US had over 12,000 parochial schools with over 5 million students. The main impetus was fear that exposure to Protestant teachers in the public schools, and Protestant classmates, would lead to a loss of faith.

I watched the The Timeline on the NFL network tonight about the Iranian Hostage Crisis. Let's try trading places... Could you imagine the American public, students if you wish, taking over a foreign embassy in DC and our government doing nothing to stop it or supporting it (lets say over one of our politicians getting medical treatment in the country that embassy is being assaulted)? That's how different our cultures are. For the life of me it amazes me that you claim to be so educated but so insanely wrong about the Muslim problem. Not in a million years should Iran have anything nuclear because they'll make a bomb, they should've been put in their place in 1980 but 35 years later, still an Iranian problem.
