I am watching the news now and they just interviewed her.  Kudos to her.  That is a great mother.  She really cares for her son and glad it was caught on video.

This of course will be interpreted as "Scal supports gang violence." You idiots can run with that.

A helpless mother did what she could at the moment. It happened to be caught on tape.

But it amazes me how absolutely buckwild the right (and of course GD is not 'on the right' but has a special bigotry all its own) is going on and on about this story.

It's almost like they have some deep-seated desire to beat the shi* out of some minority themselves, know they can't, and live vicariously through this mother in this video.

What else is new.

Maybe if this would've happened to the "4 teens who robbed a house" punks, one of them wouldn't be dead and the rest of them up on murder charges.....

It's amazing how something positive has been turned into another rant from our resident racist.  This mother wants something better for her kids and somehow we are all racist for cheering her on.  Same situation, if it was a white mom and her kid I would be cheering the same way.  The behavior of her son was unacceptable and she parented the kid.  Keep up the good work mom.

So again, I will press the issue because no one has answered it.

How am I 'a racist'?

Look up the definition of racist.

It refers to somone who thinks one race is superior to another.

How can I, as a white person, think another white person is inferior to me?

How can I as a white person think blacks are superior to whites, when socio-economically, I have said they are anything BUT that since day one on this site.

It's like a bunch of little school girls on here just reverting back to the same old insults that make no sense day after day.

I posed this question to wizardofodds and he had NO ANSWER. To Slovak, NO ANSWER. To many others with NO RESPONSE and still you use terminology that is not only illogical but embarrassingly juvenile and highly uneducated.

This is why I rarely if ever come to GD anymore. You've all proven yourself to but unable to carry out the most basic of argumentation. Why bother? EDUCATE yourself with independent study. Understand the terminology you flippantly throw out there.

Really, how old are you? Two decades on this earth? Three? Four? Five? And you can't even use a word in a sentence properly? Get your act together! You're likely a god damn adult!

If this mom is cannonized I'd like a few more answers and I'm hoping you can hear me over the dog whistles.

This "caring" mother has 5 other kids so she went home to see if she can spot the other siblings on TV?The husband wasn't home taking care of the babies because .......(you know). Mom hasn't worked in 5 years but her and her 6 kids just moved into a new house. Maybe she was slapping up jr. because ever since Katrina brothers know you don't get IDed on eye-witness news with a gun/rock in your hand.The Sister states she only watches TV and goes to church,so is she getting raped in the rectory and that's where the 6 childrens are springing from? If she were only an illegal alien Obama would nominate her to a cabinet post.

If the police brutality and oppression would end, the riots wouldn't happen.  The riots are a problem, to be sure.  However, they are merely the result of the bigger problem.  We're gonna have riots as long as we have policemen breaking peoples' spinal cords like twigs.

End the brutality and oppression, and the riots will cease.  The only reason white people are not known for rioting in this country is because we have no need to.  If we did, we would.

 What else do you want from her.   There's no guarantee that he won't be out there an hour later but that doesn't take anything away from the fact that she is trying to do what she can at that moment.

If this were true Hurricane Katrina would have gone down a lot differently.  It was an excuse to loot and they did. Period.

I would love to dress up Scalabrine and steelcash in Balt police uniforms complete with body cams and drop them in the middle of ground zero

Or hell just dressed normally

Then have them post on here.  They would undoubtedly still make excuses for why they got brutally abused and beaten, but I bet we would sense a little less confidence in their arguments

My thoughts:

A national pastime of mine was to watch moms beat their kids in the middle of the grocery store for various reasons usually stemming from not putting that God damnn toy down.  This was a common scene from the "sketchy" neighborhood I grew up in. 

Not sure why we're applauding a mother for doing her job.  I've never seen a dad be applauded for mowing the lawn, an uncle for driving his niece to school or a teacher for instructing mathematical equations.  This is the job a parent, guardian or instructor does.  I really feel like the people applauding this lady don't really understand the concept behind parenting.  

Scal said camera just happened to catch this lady doing her job, basically.  100% agree.  Let it go.  She did her motherly duty.  

I feel like those applauding are the ones who are assuming all black kids riot, loot and have no parental guidance- but in this one RARE example, a black mother actually beat her black kid straight...and boy, golly, Mr. Wolf Blitzer, we approve of that.
