Ever hear of Mindful Eating? My daughter taught me about it today.

Take any edible item. We used a single cashew. 

I was told to hold it. To look at it's shape,color, texture, it's smell & how it felt as I put it in my mouth without biting it. Then bite it once & feel if there's any different feeling. Finally chewing it slowly until it's ready to be digested. All along I had to desrcibe the feeling had during each phase of this experiment. My strongest urge was to eat the damn cashew!

The premise is to slow your mode of eating & to relax/enjoy what you are digesting & not jiust gobbling food up. Supposedly, it will also help you eat less.

GOOGLE has tons of info on Mindful Eating. 

Sounds pornographic. Achieve the same thing by just thoroughly chewing your food. Best part is you can think of anything you like. The ponies, for instance.

I'm all about mindfulness but mindful eating is a little too new age, even for me.

Nothing in life is worth having without a little danger may it be physical, emotional or financial.

Watching the local news now & realized that most of the people in SFLA don't speak English so we get a "closed captions." Maybe it seems this way because the "news" is about people getting robbed, driving without a license during the commition of a crime, a home burning down, parties that turn into shootings etc. Then we get a chick guessing the weather for the next 3 weeks followed by the ex jock pitcher who people question if he really was a righty. 

The more things change, the more they seem the same.

Seems like if you comment on an new topic that you haven't commented on before  covers will give you credit and raise your post number by 1. But if you comment on the same topic multiple times they won't give credit for each additional comment, only your first new comment on the topic, so if you already have 1+ comments on an topic and comment again your posts numbers stay the same,  even though technically they should add another comment to your posts and increase the number by one for every comment even if its same topic  cause it is an new additional comment and post even if its on the same topic. 

My neighbor the racist bigot passed away today & it reminded me of a story.

Briefly a few years ago we were walking buddies & we saw another neighbor walking her dog who was currently licking his balls.

He turns towards me & says "I wish I could do that."

I said "Go ask her. I'm sure she'll let you."

Sure won't miss that fucker.

OP, there is nothing worse than having shitty neighbors..they "should" mind their own business...Sadly, "Your privacy ends where their Nose begins"

I'm sure you've seen the little rich brats dumping empty cans/bottles into our beautiful blue ocean in SFLA. These little shits should have to clean the beach each weekend for a month.

I frequent these waters often & we are constantly netting crap out of the ocean to protect our sea life. I'll never understand why people trash such a beautiful resource.

May the 5th be something you never have to plead.

Who ever thought there would be a channel on TV regarding the weather? 

This came to mind because I read that meteorologist Mike Seidel was laid off by the Weather Channel. He's been exceptional on his reporting storms across the country for years.

I doubt he'll be unemployed long unless.....

Is Hialeah Gardens a housing project near the race track? Sounds super ghetto.

 Yes Stu, it's near Hialeah racetrack. But the ghetto/crime ridden area you may be thinking of is Miami Gardens where there are shootings almost every night. 

Hialeah Gardens is a suburb of Hialeah & is mostly a Cuban population. But these horse killings have taken place in the Redlands & Southwest Dade Country as well. These scumbags pick out docile horses mostly used for enjoyment of those with severe mental & physical issues.

The horses are so obedient, they are easily led out of stalls/corrals, butchered & their meat sold.
