yes papa. Congrats on taking out best player from us. We failed to do what we needed to do and we will surely be worse off for it.

Eagles are absolutely fuckin stacked now with all the off season acquisitions. Cannot see them at least making it to NFC Conf Champ game.

Very nice signing, but the Eagles have had the most talent many times before over the last 10+ years, but never manifested. Takes more than just Pro Bowlers to win a title.

They've never had this much talent before.

Wow as a Giants fan this just made things really ugly.  If the Eagles don't find their way to the superbowl this season I will laugh my ass off.  I do give the Eagles organization credit for really going after such talent and pushing for a great team and season.  I just hope the Giants can hang with these guys this year....

I know you're excited, but even a Cowboy fan knows the 2004 Eagles team had more talent.

2004 team had 10 Pro Bowlers, 3 of which were 1st team ALL NFL.

Didn't you just blast me in another thread for not looking up stats on Noel Devine. Let's be honest, you're just a homer getting morning wood over a team that should perform, right?

Time will tell.  That '04 team was awesome, but don't think it was this good.

Gee what a surprise that a Cowboys fan would wanna not give proper credit to the Eagles current roster.......

Mike Vick in 2011 is WAYYYY better than McNabb in 2004

DJax, Maclin, Celek, Avant is WAYYYY better than TO and whom else?  Todd Pinkston, Greg Lewis, and LJ Smith????

LeSean McCoy is as good at this point in his career as Westbrook was then (check his last years #s)

Defense overall is better too (Trent Cole, Nnamdi, Asante, DRC, Babin, Two good young safeties Allen and Jarret, Patterson and Bunkley

Fact is the 2004 Eagles did NOT have more talent than the current edition.  As a life long serious Eagles fan I can tell you that their roster has NEVER been this stacked, especially on offense.  You could make an argument that the 2004 front 7 was better than the 2011 front 7 on D........but EVERYTHING else is better.  Quit hating.

And of those 10 pro-bowlers you mentioned, many of them should NOT have been (Michael Lewis, Tra Thomas, etc)....just b/c you make a pro-bowl does not mean you are an elite player.  Mcnabb made pro bowl in 2009 for gods sakes, and he's been washed up for 5 years.

Actually, you are the hater. I'm not pounding my chest in July. For the most part because I don't think the Cowboys will be that good this year. I expect 8-8 maybe 9-7. Some people from all fan bases wanna start throwing bold statements out when nice things like this happen, I get it. You are setting yourself up for disappointment, because although you have physical talent.....you have a lot of boneheads on your roster too. Good luck with your season.

Doesn't get any better than this. Downplay how good your former team REALLY was to elevate a team that hasn't even played a game yet.

    How am I a hater?

I'm not bashing the cowboys or commenting on them in anyway.....

I am challenging your declarative statement that the 2004 team was better than this years.  And I am not saying your argument is completely without merit, b/c the 2004 team was great........but I do believe this years roster is better.

And yeah, obviously the cowboys won't be that good.  Jenkins and Newman were AWFUL last year, they have NO good safeties, their DE's are not great, their running game is shaky etc, etc.  So just b/c you are objective enough to admit that the Cowboys won't  be great, doesn't mean that your statements about the Eagles are correct.

And what boneheads do we have?  Vick who has been a model citizen since re-entering the league?  Vince Young who is a backup reclamation no-risk project?  Whom else?  Curious?

But please don't call me a hater for challenging your declarative statement.  You said that the 2004 roster is better, and I went out of my way to challenge that statement.  That's not hating, that's called having a different opinion.

Ok so Michael Lewis (whom they let walk after his contract was up) is/was an ELITE safety?  Same with Tra Thomas and Runyan whom were both released within 3 years of that SB?

I am not saying that the 2004 team wasn't great.  I was pointing out the fact that # of pro-bowlers doesn't really mean THAT much in terms of how great a team was in any given year.  Looks like you are relying on semantics now to try and get your point across, b/c you realize that I have copious amounts of more knowledge regarding the Eagles than you do, and you know I can just bust up your arguments all day..........so instead of arguing football facts, you're just using semantics.  Kinda sad and desperate.

Cowgirl fans are just mad because they are stuck with Romo, but know deep down that as long as he is on their team, they will never win anything again.

To be honest papa,  your eagles were my pick to win the super bowl before you got nnamdi.  Now the value will be sucked out of future bets, but I still like them.  Vick and Shady need to stay healthy, but all the pieces are in place.  I like Andy Reid as a play caller, and they have upgraded significantly on defense.  I hope they take it down for you.

First of all I'm a Raiders fan, who the fuck woke Al Davis up, they should have let him stay a sleep. If they didn't want him back they should have traded him before he became a free agent. A least get something for him.

i'll tell ya what...if they don't re-sign bradley, they may be forced to deal samuel, to go into the season with the linebackers they have without bradley would completely counter everything they just did, cover corners are worthless against the run, if you're going to force teams to run the ball (and thats what the birds have done) you BETTER have backers that can stop it
