What kind of people would do that?  Let me in or I will throw my baby in the Mediterranean?  Hard to fathom

If they can even threaten to do that imagine what they are capable of when they land!

The kind of people that know how the Coast Guard would react and protect children?

Sick and desperate but smart move. Mothers would never have dropped their children into the ocean but no CG man is going to take that chance. Let them in and help those kids..

Mothers have been known to do some pretty outrageous things since humans began walking upright to give their children a chance to live. Did the right thing compared to what was facing the lil ones back home.

Can't dispute the effectiveness of what they did.

My main question is would you want people who would do this in your country, city, neighborhood?

Hadn't heard about this. I get both sides of the argument seems like an effective ploy but I couldn't do it.
