When do you know you're a degenrate gambler?

For me it is having $500 on Baylor +3.5, another $300 on the ML as well as a couple of teasers and an 11pt half time lead. Then thinking I need to put another $200 on Baylor in the 2nd half.

A sane person would have enjoyed the 2nd half with a drink, feet up, and smiling.

For me I know when each day.

When I wake up.

Identify your long term objectives/goals and stick to them.

ran to the bathroom to put in a bet so my gf (at the time) wouldn't get upset.

running to a pay phone when my phone died to put in a bet with my bookie (remembering his phone # was probably the most pathetic)

That is pretty sick (degenerate) for one day's action.

Have you ever thought of going to meetings for degenerates?

When you're checking scores and placing wagers during weddings, hospital visits, family gatherings, funerals etc....

When you have to borrow money to continue betting, or absolutly need a bet to win or your booky will literally kill you. Also if you bet your whole entire BR on one game.

When I was in college I bet over my head with the local frat bookie a couple times. It's tough being down 2gs when you have 200 to your name. If I lost more than 200 I was in chase mode big time and got into trouble a few times. I couldn't pay 400 so I didn't see much of a difference in not being able to pay 2000. Either way I was fucked and going to make the bookie steamed so I chased big time in parlays and what not bc he had a max bet of 200. I got lucky a few times and escaped, but shit eventually hit the fan
