Do they still have those concerts, I think they were in a parking lot?

You guys hit me up by PM.. I dont have to be on your friends list. Any member can PM me. We will set something up and it will be my treat. Hell even if its all go to the bar and have some drinks...
I would say we can catch a COWBOYS game instead of RANGERS but the amount of tickets wouldnt be there. I have season tickets so I can maybe do a pre-season game for a "bunch" of tickets. But there would be no way for a regular season game. This way it would give everyone a chance to see the new stadium. And trust me, there are plenty of spots to have fun at the new stadium....
We will do all this by PM .... Please dont give any "private" information out..... be it addresses or phone numbers in the forums. Please PM if anyone is interested
I will not be in pocket today as Im taking my kids to a waterpark for "FATHERS DAY"....... so I will check it tonight or tomorrow..
BTW ---- HAPPY FATHERS DAY

I go play. I don't know if you can consider how I play "golf" or not though.

I remember those parking lot concerts at sundance square. Saw "wolfdance" there in like 2000. Spent many a drunken saturday in the pourhouse watching college football. Ft Worth and Austin both rank very high on my "favorite" cities list.

GOLF sounds great. I play all the time.
I will start tomorrow (or sometime this week) and reach out to you guys by PM and see what we can get into. If its golf then we can figure something out... But dunno about paying all those green fees...... lol... I was getting the hookup on the TICKETS but I will definately pay for the beer and any xtra activities .. If we can find a course to where its public and BYOB then I will take care of all the beer and what not... You would just be responsible for your green fees...
But if alot of people dont play golf then we can either stick with Rangers game or whatever else we decide. We will have plenty of time to decide.

Live in Westview Terrace neighborhood just northwest of the football field. I've been here 5 years and it's felt like 10 in alot of ways.
Best of luck to you!!

My Texas story:
Few years ago I was doing a tour in Afghanistan. Had to stand gate watch with this guy that was one pay grade above me. He was from Texas, not exactly sure from where, but he grew up in some suburb of Houston or Dallas. He was a very intelligent guy but quite small in stature and thin. Big Texas A & M fan too.
Anyways he starts talking(without me even bringing it up) about how great Texas is and how much better it is than the rest of America and how he things most of America is just trash. He actually said he wished Texas would actually seperate from America and become it's own country.
I seriously wanted to kick the shit out of him right then and there. He came off as so arrogant and cocky, that it really gave me a bad view on Texans as a whole. Especially whenever I see anything that says "Don't Mess With Texas".
Now don't get me wrong, I know he doesn't speak for every Texan and I have met a lot of very cool people from Texas. But I guess it's human nature for me to remember the one guy that stands out from all the rest.
Anyways, John Gr#$%s, if I ever see you again, no matter what state we are in, i'm going to kick the Alamo-loving shit out of you.

Yeah I know ApacheM and I almost feel bad that this is my Texas story.I have met, and partied, with some really cool people from Texas during my time in the Navy. I just couldn't believe this guy had the balls to say that, especially considering where we were and what we were doing.
I grew up in Michigan and I love Michigan. I would NEVER shit on America and say that Michigan was better than the rest of the country though.....except for Ohio. We are better than Ohio.

WTF?
How are Texans the friendliest people in the world? You barley get a Good Morning out of someone…in fact your more likely to get a “Buenos Dias”, and those aren’t coming from true Texans. Break down on the interstate……no one stops to help you. Driving on the interstate is almost a full contact sport. People riding on yours a$$, cutting you off at intersections…..a bunch Joie Chitwood (born in Denison, Texas) driving fools around here. I fail to see this place as special with regards to hospitality. And the funny thing is you live closer to the big city than I do. I know it’s not all hugs and hand shakes up in there!
I have definitely lived friendlier places.
