Who else is sick of this H1N1 crap?

Every single day, that's all I hear about.. I'm sick and tired of this!   It's all you hear on the news!  People are lining up for that vaccine which no one even knows what it's made of (and NO WAY JOSE will I ever take that vaccine... no thanks)

Talk about mass paranoia these days.  Fear rules the roost I guess.  A woman actually came in to my workplace with a mask, that's just taking it too far... unbelievable.

Just sick and tired of hearing about this day after day.

 I agree.....

its much of nothing.....if you get sick you take medicine, its that simple...

At work people send around emails about the differenet symptoms and are fearfull when they hear someone coughing, its like come on people....

  but its like any of the previous ones, bird flu....sars....they do damage in other countries but very little in ours...

 

Also, I agree I would never take that vaccine after seeing what happened to that poor girl who can't walk now expect for backwards.

I'm sorry, but this is very serious. Only going to get worse as the poor continue passing it around. 


Parents who will not keep their kids home from school are putting everyone else at risk. It is going to become a vicious cycle that will only get worse. 

Just the tip of the iceberg right now.

1) It's a serious issue and deserves coverage. What would you rather hear about what Obama had for breakfast and other useless crap thats constantly getting coverage? It's important to see how governments deal with this in case there is a worse pandemic in the future.

2) By saying you won't consider taking the vaccination it shows how stupid you really are.

Really?  Who is the stupid one?

Do you know that they don't even test for the virus anymore unless they die?  People are diagnosed as H1N1 probable.  Know why?  Because most people they were testing were testing negative.  In fact as much as 90% of the people who have been diagnosed as h1n1 probable probably didn't even have the virus. 

I'll let all you lab rats go ahead and take the vaccine.  Let me know how it works out for you.  I'll take Vitamin D everyday and go on my marry way doing the same thing i normally do. 

There are 6 people in my department at work ... one has had the shot so far ....that was about 2 weeks ago.  Guess who has been off the last 2 days with flu like symptoms?

They don't test for it anymore because so many people have it there is no point...

Interesting .... because the fatality rate from h1n1 has been proven to be less than the regular seasonal flu.  Every time someone dies from other flu strains nobody hears about it .... when somebody dies from the h1n1 flu its front page news.  Here's a fact .... the flu kills people ... not just this year ....every fucking year.

I went to Cabo back in May when this all was just starting. Someone here said I was nuts. Got back......no problem. Said poster warned me (LOL) that it takes 10 weeks for the virus to show. I guess I should be getting sick any day now.


 No need to go to the Dr. when we have Covers right at our fingertips

Heard the vaccine is worse than the flu.
Unless you're weak, old or pregnant I guess you don't need the vaccine.

People have died from the vaccine too.. Heard an expert in vaccines/viruses say that it hasn't been tested properly.

I was pretty sick of hearing about it until my cousin died from it.
so to me and my family it is not a farce.

still not sure If i will get the shot.

The seasonal flu does kill many people each year and you don't hear about it. That is correct. It has for hundreds of years.

This year there are some strong seasonal flus going on but they do not have a higher fatality rate compared to H1N1. Find me some creditable stats on this and I'll start to believe it..

This whole thing is being over exaggerated I agree but saying the vaccine isn't safe is BS. They come out with " rushed" flu vaccines every season and they are completely safe. This time they had the advantage of knowing exactly what virus to make the vaccine for rather then taking their best guess as to what flus would be rampant in any given year.

TheMugg: Anyone that said that to you doesn't have a clue what they are talking about. On set is between 1 -4 days. Your clearly safe.

If you don't have an underlying medical condition I wouldn't be too worried about it. Get it when you can.

Do they have clinics setup where you live?

A few of my friends have had it. Took just over a week to recover from.

My solution, like most the time, is to drink more. Figure the alcohol will kill it off. Has always seemed to work for me!!!!!!!
