I haven’t been on the site for a long time and I don’t remember that. I'm sorry, I would like to see it.
Who has been here on covers long enough to remember Lou in his hot tub with his two babes???

I've been on this site long enough to remember when the GD forum had some actual activity.

you mean back in the day when we could say pizz, sh!t, cawk and kunt?
Nice move to Florida Bob.
Now your vote in a Swing State will actually mean something.

It’s certainly not the world I grew up in. You talked sh!t back in the day you’d better be ready to step outside and settle business. Nowadays you punch somebody and get arrested for assault.
No more likely you get a pistol pointed at your head. Bullets have become the great equalizer for the idiots out there. There is not nearly enough control over weapons in this country as there needs to be. (And that comes from a former NRA cardholder)

Yes it is different, when corporate takes over things change for sure
Whenever money gets big enough to be involved, things change. The more popular and profitable an entity gets, the more they need to conform to regulation. It's not just the government. It's at least as much the law profession which is always trying to suck money out of those who have made it.

Damn those were the good ole' days.
Threads where there was meaningful discussion, and guys trying to help each other win some money.
Couple of the more helpful threads were the KenPom thread, had to be a dog of a certain amount, but hit like crazy.
and the other was in MLB, would always start "the ----- has landed" can't remember who he was, but it was an ump that ALWAYS hit the under or over, hell, i can't even remember now.
Vanzack, Protostar, all the shit talking.
Damn.
The passing of the one great guy (Indian guy). Talked to him many times online, he was from Texas.
Some great posters/guys on here back in the day.
I've moved on for the most part from gambling, since it's so hard in the Midwest, sports gambling that is.
but have taken A LOT from what I learned from gambling, and do pretty well with Draftkings these days.
One of my favorite quotes from one of the old write ups, I'll have to find it, "Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most".
That's how I felt a lot of weekends. Damn, what memories.
