What raging bigot will attest this would happen to an older white male or female, or even a younger one?

    Who?

Who here will claim black cops would react the same way to a white male...

    Who? Show your face...

THIS is what it means to be black in America and encounter out of control cops. This is what captures how cops pull their guns on blacks before offering potential medical assistance, or question whether the driver is is need of such given he's not responding to commands in a rational way.

THIS is why black loves matters exists.

Show your face bigots...show it here...make a fool of yourself

I know one thing, if a black officer did that to a white guy he would not be forced to resign.

Fredericksburg Police Officer Shaun Jergens stepped down May 14, 10 days after he confronted wrong-way driver David Washington, 34, in a suspected hit-and-run crash. But Washington had actually suffered a stroke, an unnamed source told WTOP.

Everything I have read only briefly mentions a stroke but only under the pretense that it is unconfirmed, just hearsay (or maybe a convenient contrived falsehood?)

Police, who found beer in the back seat of the Hyundai, believed Washington was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to WTOP.

He still faces charges for driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and hit-and-run.

So, where is the evidence that he ever suffered a stroke?

Reading the actual facts, and not watching some ridiculous twitter feed as the main source finally enlightened me on the situation.

The officer was completely out of line to pepper spray the guy at all.  He was also breaking his dept's rules by tasering a motorist who was at the wheel at the time.  Just a completely, unnecessary course of events, and the officer justifiable deserves to be released from duties.

I also read that there is no official report of the man actually having a stroke, nor is there any that the beer he had in his back seat had been being consumed at the time of driving.  I do see that the charges of reckless driving, hit-and-run and suspended license are sticking.

If the only condition here was that the man was drunk behind the wheel, then I have no respect for that person, and I do not feel bad at all.  I look at drunk driver's as the absolute scum that stand right in line with rapists, child predators and violent offenders.  Maybe if my 16 year old nephew wasn't murdered by a drunk driver that crossed over into his lane and decided to ruin lives with one terrible mistake, I wouldn't be as bitter towards them.  But it is what it is.  You're a potential murderer with a 3,000 lb weapon every time your dumbasss gets behind the wheel under the influence.

I won't judge the guy until we get to see what his condition officially was.  Only official judgement lands on the officer here though.  Glad to see hm out of a job.  Justice was served in that sense.

^That's the officers side of the story, trying his best to convince us he was in the right.  I don't buy it.

^That's the officers side of the story, trying his best to convince us he was in the right.  I don't buy it.

Where did you get your story ?

How do you know he did not have a stroke ?

the driver was supposed to face charges for driving with a suspended license, reckless driving and hit-and-run.

    No arrest ? why ?

Do you know why his license was suspended ? his medical condition

Can you post a link ?
Now don't tell me to google it

It looks like you got the story straight. Please shed some light

He was driving with a suspended license

People get arrested and charged for driving with a suspended license. The guy was not resisting arrest.

the armed Charleston murderer was taken to Burger King

with their guns drawn, at a safe distance from the car, I am sure the cops would have shot him if he had tried to run them over.

when the driver did not move after being tasered, then he did not even touch his face after being pepper-sprayed.

was it necessary to use excessive force ?

The rumor has it that Officer Jurgens was kicked out  of Fredericksburg District Court  for trying to assault a citizen in the City's Clerks Office. Court had to be stopped and Officer Jurgens was removed from the Courthouse

The treatment of all citizens is important regardless of race,,,but as Slovak posted ..he didn't have a valid drivers license and should not have been driving in the 1st place..he told the officer he had been sick for a couple weeks .. Was he on prescription drugs? Had he taking the right mount of his medicine ..or an overdose that could have cause his condition at the time..

By the fresh dent in the drivers side bumper and side door it looked like he recently hit something..

..and just maybe ..the taser and pepper spray jolted him enough to shorten the effects of the unverified stroke.

Once, he was handcuffed and secure one officer helped him to sit up by supporting his back and gave him comfort by telling him he would be ok ..that a medical team was on the way to remove the pepper spray and take him to a hospital..

Pepper Spray, or OC (oleoresin capsicum) spray is a lachrymatory agent - Oleoresin capscicum is made from the same chemical that makes chili peppers hot ...but at much higher concentration and can result in a small but statistically significant increase in blood pressure..

Low blood pressure may also cause an ischemic stroke, low blood pressure results in reduced blood flow to the brain.

where do you get your medical facts ?

Pepper Spray  causes  immediate closing of the eyes, difficulty breathing, runny nose, and coughing.
ischemic stroke is caused by the interruption of flow of blow to the brain (blood clots)

let's assume that the  guy was having the guy was having an ischemic stroke.

how did the pepper spray help ?

Remember what I posted "..and just maybe ..the taser and pepper spray jolted him enough to shorten the effects of the unverified stroke.

The words were "just maybe " not that in fact that it did ,because I have no way of knowing but that it could have..and to my knowledge we really don't know if in in fact actually had a stroke..

You are correct, pepper spray can cause all the uncomforts you listed in your post along with what I posted about pepper spray (OC) raising blood pressure ..low blood pressure is a greater risk of death ..more sever than a runny nose and temporarily having to close you're eyes..

My info source you ask ?..I don't like to revel them ,because google is such an easy tool to use.. but in this case ..I'll do it this one time for you ..so ..not all my info ,but some of it is from...The National Library of Medicine National Institute of Health..

Which claims as of Feb.2015.. it goes as follows :

Low blood pressure during the acute period of ischemic stroke is associated with decreased survival.

Among patients hospitalized for their first-ever ischemic stroke, the risk of all-cause death is significantly increased in those with admission MBP below 100?mmHg..........

I understand the ischemic stroke (hypotension) vs hypertension.

a friend of mine died of hemorrhagic stroke(rupture of blood vessels in the brain caused by hypertension)

the driver was tasered first, then pepper-sprayed. he was unresponsive. He was treated for the pepper spraying and taser prong (still attached to his skin)  was removed before they transported him to Mary Washington hospital, where they found out that he was having a stroke

I thought you were trying to be sarcastic ..

Officers had described the suspect only as a dark-complexioned man who's about 5 feet 11 inches tall. He had short hair, possibly a fade cut. He was wearing a white T-shirt and red shorts at the time of the shooting and fled the scene in a dark red Ford Ranger.
