once again folks..THE GRIZZ EASY<< and FTI,,,,the TIGER is the king of the jungle, NOT the lion who lives in the open plains of africa..the TIGER lives in jungles...and the Bengal TIger would probably give the Grizz a hell of a fight after easily disposing of ANY lioin...
THE GRIZZ is the fiercest of all animals....

WOW.....I'm shocked as to how many of you really think the Lion has a chance....
First off, like jerryrice80 said....The tiger is kind of all felines. Tiger own lions in a fight....
A Tiger vs a Grizzly Bear is much closer of a battle.....Tigers have kills bears before.
Also the key here is that its a gizzly bear!!!! black bears are too fat and not as agressive and can be "scared down" persay. When you see a bear get scared down from another animal or whatever its because that bear isn't a grizzly bear.
The odds on this would be Gizz Bear -250 maybe more, easily.
If your picking the lion based on speed alone, a grizzly bear "In spite of their massive size, these bears can run at speeds of up to 56 kilometres per hour (35 miles per hour)."

Let me decide this Grizzly Bear v. Lion battle:
They are both males in the prime of their lives and filled with testosterone. A large male lion is generally the PROTECTOR & doesn't hunt unless he comes in to help bring down VERY LARGE game like a HIPPO or a GIRAFFE. So, If the male lion were presented with a situation where a male grizzly was seen as food or was a threat to his pride & females then the male lion WILL NOT BACK DOWN. Male lions do not even RUN from ELEPHANTS & RHINOS and merely "walk out of their way", to avoid unnecessary conflict.
Now, we all know the size strength and weapons the grizzly comes with. If they were to battle, this is my verdict.
The main danger to the lion is the sheer SIZE & STRENGTH of the grizzly. If the lion doesn't get its neck broken with a direct swipe from the grizzly or get its back broken from being crushed then the lion can definitely win. For example, if the lion managed to charged the bear and knock him back a little or sneak underneath and get a good lock on the bears throat then the bear has got problems that he doesn't want. What is the wagering line you ask.
Grizzly -190

I don't think that was a Grizzly...it was just a black bear

LOL, that bear was a box.
No kidding. Watch some of those shows where the males go after the females (they sometimes will try to eat their own young). I'd take a pissed off grizzly, not the drunk one that ran into the couger. He had no interest in getting into anything with that couger.

And I also agree lions are a bit overrated.

I love it how people on covers talk about other things in their lives the way they talk about sports.
