I don't know about England, but over here in the good ole USA more white people want to be black (at least a lot of male s from teens to mid 20s), not the other way around.
Never heard of this hair thing or seen it here in North NJ. The only black dude I've seen do this was Sisqo from Dru Hill and that was about 8 years ago.

How do I say this? There isn't much variance in how a black person looks. There is much more of an attempt to stand out with colorful, loud clothes. This hair & eye deal is just another attempt to differentiate, or image themselves away from what they are, black. So, before Scalabrine gets a woody from my post, it's just an observation that I've noticed as fact over the years.
