Two crucial elements that were already addressed here, which can eventually lead to a complete disregard for human life:

1) The breakdown of the family.

2) The addiction to mind-altering hallucinogens.

Since 2003, there have hundreds of school shootings in the US according to everytown research.  US has the most school shootings in the world because of the wide availability of guns according to US center for disease control.

Shooters are mostly angry young men who have been bullied, seek revenge and plan a long time to attack.  Preventive measures include more alarms or phones to alert police,  guards or metal detection, reinforced locked doors and tougher gun control.

Midnight1 is right.  Information supported by credible sources that can be verified is more trustworthy.  Whereas LRM704 is unconvincing and shows nothing. 

Sadly, United States is such a politically divided country that americans can't even agree on facts.  There is much undeserved mistrust of traditional institutions of truth such as science, media and universities.

Thirdperson, this is the last time I will try. On January 22 there was a school shooting in Texas. On January 23 there was a mass shooting in Kentucky and now we have a third shooting. There were two other shooting NEAR high school buildings. Is any of this acceptable ? HELL NO,but keep the facts straight and don't spread misinformation.

I have many guns. Get rid of them all and charge anybody in possession with a class 1 felony, mandatory 5 years in prison. 

Drop in that law and I'll turn in all of these ridiculous toys. 

kids are being shot and I'm no longer okay with guns, anywhere.

Police still recognizes 11 school related shootings.  Murders, accidents and suicides still count.  According to thinkprogress and many credible sources, here is the list.  January 3 Michigan.  January 4 Washington.  January 6 Iowa.  January 9 Arizona.  January 10 California and Texas.  January 15 Texas.  January 20 North Carolina.  January 22 Lousiana and Texas.  January 23 Kentucky.

These kids in Parkland, FL are speaking so intelligently about this shooting it makes them look like the adults on this subject. 


The pain here in SFLA is intense. It's happened across the country many times but when it comes so close to home it's a whole different animal. This feeling isn't going away anytime soon.

The Houston Chronicle reported that the Houston Police Department has investigated 7 planned wide spread violence in schools since the Parkland shooting.

They better deal with these individuals swiftly.

Just listened to a mother from Parkland who said her daughter could not be identified until 48 hours after her death.
