Derby Winner test fails drug test

Medina Spirit failed drug test.  How many times is Baffert going to caught and all he ever gets is a short suspension.  This is not good for racing.  

Well I hope this brings them one step closer to testing before they race.

And lets ask Ol' Bob to take a polygraph test.

So many questions...did Median Spirit return to the barn a little sore/lame after losing the Santa Anita Derby to Rock Your World causing Baffert to treat the colt? Was there a change in plans when Concert Tour didn't make it to the Derby?

Baffert's comment "I don't know what is going on in racing right now but there's something not right" is interesting to me since this is the 5th of his stock to fail a drug test in the last year. 

This also happens to be the same drug that got Gamine DQ'd in the Oaks last September.

The Preakness draw is tomorrow. I would think we would have some questions answered before the draw.

Last year it was Nadal and Charlatan. And how about Justify?

These trainers know everything that goes on in their barns especially when we are talking about extremely talented stock.

Baffert whined when he got caught in Arkansas & is using the same playbook to claim that he & his colt are victims of the racing industry.

So, does Baffert have to win with Medina Spirit to prove the horse is fast and test clean after to quiet the critics, or does he stand to make things worse by winning?  If he loses, do folks say "yeah, bc they tested his horse up the wazoo and he couldn't win it clean"?   More to gain by winning, or losing? 

I believe 2nd test results coming on Friday. If he passes that, and wins Saturday fine.

And lots of intrigue going into the final leg.

Wouldn't it be something if Medina Spirit & Concert Tour run 1st & 2nd?
