Elusive Kate's beaten Dear LAvinia with ease before and whilst she wasn't beaten far (only a length) Lavinia's overall profile does not scream out as a standout. She's been kept to listed races rather then Group races. She's not a scopey sort and she is also inexperienced in a field of this size and a meeting of this magnitude staying to provincial French courses rather then the big tracks of Longchamps and Chantilly. For me she's useful but clearly has several lbs to find on the best of these. Normally, French horses possess a potent turn of foot but this one has not shown any ability to properly quicken and that will be a problem if the pace is steady.
However at 30/1 (12/1 here) you're compensated for that and you're gambling on any monumental improvement coming in this race. She's also shown her hand in front running in most of her races. She stays well and if anything, I would've thought her inability to quicken on turf and US pedigree points to the dirt juvenile fillies race as the better option. I'd rather take a home runner like Dayatthespa as the record of European fillies is also a bit offputting too.

Best of luck! Well you guys have Stacelita now! Forgot she switched trainers and she is technically not French trained! Tbh, it would not surprise me if Europe finish empty handed by the end of the LAdies Classic. Genuine hopes were on the F and M Turf but the defection of Sarafina and Midday to the Turf race took off a bit of gloss on the race today.
I'm keen on Announce EW and playing an exacta with Stacelita and Nahrain too. I really do like Switch though! Why are you opposing Switch? The frantic pace and her stamina should bring her right into the mix. I have her at 9/2 EW so money back at the very least if she runs as I expect.
I'm going on another theory regarding CD's dirt track. I think the more rain, instead of making the track ride faster, it will make the track slower hence my bet on Brigantin tomorrow. Someone noted that when it rains, CD dirt track times are consistently slower. Might be wrong but regardless of rain, I still like Brigantin's chances tomorrow.

Sarafina was drawn out wide but I think she simply wasn't good enough on the day. I actually did not fancy her at all. I backed Reliable Man that day but wasn't confident as it was quite wide open and the big field means you need luck in running.
However, the smaller field will definitely suit as will the less frantic pace and her turn of foot should be enough to claim the race for her.

As much a you like switch i am opposite. lol. I think she will be lower odds here. Thats betting though. If we all liked the same horse they would be 1-9.
I am thinking the exact same on f&m turf.
Watch and see how track is playing early seriously. It gets funny when it gets wet. Bol to you today. Great talking to you.
