I live near Del Mar. I consider myself to be an average handicapper but am looking to get into it hardcore this year. If you don't mind replying to a couple questions, I'd appreciate it.
How many horses do you keep in your stable?
How are you up on 2 year olds if they haven't raced yet?
Do ypu focus on one track (Gulfstream)?
Myself, I know a few things to look for. I have had some success with an E6 or E/P6 or higher on the outside post in a dirt sprint. Especially if none of the entries have previously met the Pars.
Thanks and Good Luck

How many horses do you keep in your stable? ( 100 to 125. However, I add a horse when I see something I like during a race & delete when a horse has been dull 3 times or more in a row.)
How are you up on 2 year olds if they haven't raced yet? ( Breeding, owners/trainers/jockey combination, eyeballs as well as documented workouts)
Do ypu focus on one track (Gulfstream)? (I also play AQ, Belmont, Monmouth, Tampa Bay, Churchill, Oaklawn & Fair Grounds. I rarely play Del Mar or Santa Anita unless something in my stable ships there.)

( I read as much as I can & religiously add comments for horses that run from my stable. I use to document workouts as well but it wasn't worth the time & that data is always available on race day.)
There is a filly named Magniloquent trained by Wesley Ward who ran 3rd after a 7 month layoff. Her works are phenomenal & she's out of American Pharoah. She'll be running soon at Gulfstream.
Also, Little Vic is a colt who had a bad break but still ran 2nd to a good Pletcher colt named My Prankster. I'd keep my eye on him as well.

Avow looks special. She shied away from #10 on the break & probably lost at least 4 to 5 lenghts on the field only to blow by everyone to win by 8. Loved the way she moved in between horses when making her move & Saez hand rode her all the way to the finish line. The form says Saez tapped her on the shoulder going into the turn but I didn't see him touch her in the replay. I think she'll like going longer than than the 6.5 F. Like the Arrogate breeding as well.
Abaan was up against older horses & 4 from trainer Mike Maker in his last race. His ML was 4-1 but got banged down to 7-5 at post time. He got the lead pretty easily & the pace was slow 1st time around the track. When #4 Ajourneyforfreedom got right off his hindquarters, Saez just put him into another gear. Paco made his move but it's almost like Saez toyed with him on Abaan. In his previous race @ the BIGA, Johnny V rode him just like Saez getting the 1 3/8 mile easily on the lead. My only question about this guy is what happens when he gets challenged on the lead. Does it take something out of him setting it up for a closer to nail him? He broke his maiden at the SPA winning by 7 & won 3 of his last 4. He's been heavily bet in all those races & rightfully so IMO.
Pletcher trains both of these guys & you have to be impressed by the move Avow made at first asking. Since I haven't see Abaan challenged for the lead, in my stable I'd have Avow A+ & Abaan an A.
Friday I have 6 horses running @ GP but 4 of them are in the 1st & 6th races. In race 1, I like #2 Xy Speed & #7 Yes I Am Free. They both will have to catch Saez on #8 Carotari. In the 6th, I like #7 Awesome Family. We get a huge jock upgrade to Gafflione & I think this guy breaks his maiden here.
BOL in your plays..
