Perfect weather and fast and firm and I am expecting some absolute fireworks today. I couldn’t get anything to break my way yesterday but I have been up all night trying to find some shots and have a decent bankroll to go after it. Race 1: #3 Money for Mischief 6-1ml gets back to the track he likes and his numbers here last year as a 3 yr old put him right there for the end. Needed that race off the break last out at Keeneland and should be ready roll for sneaky good connections so expecting a decent price too. $1 pk 3 3,4,6/1,3,7,10,11/4,7
Race 2: #11 Anthropology 30-1ml is a 4 yr old facing 3 yr olds but just might have found a bunch which he could shock here. Took a year off after decent debut and had another decent try last out at the same trip on all weather. Bred perfectly for a turf mile he may wake up here and price obviously right.
Race 3: #7 Alejandro 7/2 ml One angle I love is a maiden winner that gets DQ so gets to beat maidens again. Probably wont get a great price but lots to like with Asmussen, Irad, 2 to Caddio River same track as 2 year old. I also like the #4 to fly late to boxing those also. $5 ex box 4-7
Race 4: #6 Hay Dakota 8-1ml This 8 yr old gelding loves racing still fires numbers that beat this group. Likes this turf course and mile distance. $1 pk 3 6,8,12/4,5,11/2,3,4
Race 5: #4 Southern Passage 10-ml is my best bet of the day! Working lights out since overmatched at over 100-1 in the Grade 1 Fla Derby now gets back to his friends and should handle them
Race 6: #2 She’s Got You 10-1 ml may be overlooked with some top turf female milers in here but Chad Brown had many other options for her off the break but yet chose this Grade II race. If the pace gets hot up front this one has every right to come late get it. $5 ex box 2-3-4
Race 7: #2 Sconsin 8-1ml This one likes the track and distance at least but is in for a tall task beating the fav who will be 1-9. Just maybe the fav doesn’t like the track as only loss came here. Worth a shot with Irad on board. Also good place to start a cheap pk 3 in case the fav doesn’t win. $1 pk 3 2,3/5,6/4,6,13
Race 8: #6 Starrininmydreams 5-1ml 2 for 2 at track and has only lost races won by Derby Horses. Pace should be super hot and he should sit mid pack and get them late. Like the #5 also so #5 ex box 5-6
Race 9: #6 Royal Price 12-1ml Hard trying horse who may not be the fastest but he does just enough to win in the end. Should get nice trip sitting right behind pace types then have a shot to win.
Race 10- #10 Bango 20-1ml is my Bomb of the Day. This horse is a Churchill Downs freak and runs his best numbers by far here. Most of his career lifetime earning of 300k are from this track and he should get a dream forward trip. If he freaks at this track again and can handle 7 furlongs, he has huge chance. Playing $1 tri box 1-4-9-10 and $1 pk 3 1,4,9,10/1,3,4,6/1,5,8,9
Race 11: #1 Masteroffoxhounds 15-1ml has been on west coast which is typically weaker horses that the east coast turf routers but the last two years that division has been stronger and this one lost to 2 really good horses last out. Will be overlooked with lots of top turfers in this race but worth a gamble. Playing a $1 tri box also 1-3-4-6
