Monmouth Park NJ whip rule!

I can’t believe the new whip rule put in place in NJ. The rule states is the only time a horse can be whipped is to keep the horse straight. Any other whip use can get the jock a suspension and a fine. So if the horse is a closer and needs to be whipped to get into the race the jock can’t whip the horse. I live in NJ and there is no way I’ll be betting Monmouth races this meet unless the rule is lifted. Most of the top jocks that usually ride at Monmouth will not ride there this season. Take a look at the jocks riding there on Friday would you bet any big money on the races there with these jocks riding? Bravo,Paco and Nik may not ride this meet. PETA already killed the circus industry and the dog racing industry so now they will kill the horse racing industry with these draconian rules by the NJ racing commission who they pressured to set theses rules.

Didn't Cali pass a law regarding the number of times a horse can be whipped in a race? I think it's something like 6 times & only twice in succession.

Looks like a pretty weak jockey colony but maybe a new star will emerge.

Shit show in their 2nd. Horse wouldn't load and they just couldnt force horse in.  Feel bad for everyone associated with this mess.

And yet the TV adds for Monmouth feature jockeys whipping horses.
