 I’ve never really understood the point of show betting unless you’re going to roll it over and parlay it all day or something, which can be kind of fun.  But instead of risking $6 (if you bet $2 across the board) to get back $16.20 (170% return), you could have just bet $6 to win and gotten back $31.20 (420%).  There are numerous studies on the subject that say the plain ol’ win bet is actually your best bet.
