Sorry Robb but I thought we all voted in another tread. Maybe you didn`t see it. Looks like a split decision. Z will get the popular vote but sure hard to seperate. Not to hard to figure my vote.

Rachel has done way too much this year for any horse to pass her.  I cannot believe Rachel is +130 really an overlay.

I'm sure if Rachel was -200 the world would be jumping on it.  However, Zenyatta performance was amazing.  But I think Rachel did too much in 09'.  Beat the boys 3 times, set amazing records.  Zenyatta won just 1 great race...Rachel won 4+ great races.

But Z never lost a race. 14 in a row. Pretty sure that is a record.

This is horse of the YEAR so 14 in a row dont mean shit.

Rachel raced in various states, various track conditions, 8for8, more Grade 1 wins.

I cant vote for a horse that never left SO CAL synthetic tracks this year...sorry.

I am with you on that Brother.......14-14 against alot of Horses that were first time Synthethic track Horses....

Was The Classic really that impressive? I mean she beat the Boys yes, but most of them were not on their natural surface...
RA beat the Boys on their surfaces, on Muddy tracks, and beat them very convincingly....
Let's See Zen beat The Boys on a sloppy track.....

Id say beating gio ponti on synthetics is still better then beating any 3 year old  or even older horse that  Rachel beat this year I would figure how good grass horses run at santa anita serve importance and zenyatta beat the best grass horse in this country my vote is zenyatta

So you think because the best Grass Horse was beaten by Zenyatta on Synthetics not Grass that is a Huge win? Do you think Zen would of beat Gio on Grass......I would venture to say NO.....RA has beaten a variety of the Best Horses in the Country and has beaten them convincingly and she won on a Sloppy Track.........

it is an opinion pool so I gave my 2 cents....

It is horse of the year 2009...correct?  Did Zenyatta run in the apple blossom this year? It isnt a lifetime achivement award last time I checked.  Every statement I made was correct about 2009.

More grade 1s, variety of tracks, different conditions...if u want to make an argument for zenyatta that is fine but dont attack me for stating FACTS
