Saturday BC Races

I planned to go fishing this morning but it's too windy & seas are 3 to 5 feet which would make for an uncomfortable trip. So I have some time now before the Friday card begins to post what I see so far for Saturday. There won't be a tremendous detail here but enough to share. As Dak Prescott would say before the ball is hiked "Here we go!

RACE 4 FILLY & MARE SPRINT 7 FURLONGS

9 & 10 with the 467

#9 Ways and Means has been impressive winning 4 of 7 for Prat/Brown/Klaravich Stables. She's banked over 700k & has won 3 in a row. What's not to like?

#10 Scylla is out of Tapit & has won 5 of 9 & 8 of 9 ITM for Bill Mott. She shows up for every race & we have a surprising jock change to Money Mike Smith.

RACE 5 TURF SPRINT 5 FURLONGS TURF

#9 Cogburn will be very very tough. He's won 6 of his last 7 & Irad rides for Asmussen. His owner is Clark Brewster who is Stormy Daniels lawyer.

RACE 6 DISTAFF 1 1/8TH MILE

#2 Torpedo Anna is the one to beat. I'm also making a WPS play on #7 Honor D Lady ML 30-1

RACE 7 TURF 1 1/2 MILE

#11 Rebel's Romance will be my play. I'll ride the Charlie Appleby train here with 6-7-? I'll be adding another to this play.

RACE 8 CLASSIC 1 1/4 MILE

#3 City if Troy is sensational winning 6 of 7 on the turf BUT this one is on the dirt & that concerns me. She may win but I also am looking at 8-9-10-11-14.

Won't make a play until I see them all in the flesh.

RACE 9 FILLY & MARE TURF

Charlie Appleby has both #1 & #4 but I'm a big fan of #4 War Like Goddess for Bill Mott. O'Brien has #5 & 6. So this may be my tri key.

I like #11 Skelly with 2-3-4--10

RACE 11 TURF 1 MILE

#12 Carl Spackler with 2-6-8

There was 63 million wagered yesterday on the BC card. It should be much more today.

While capping Race 7 last night, #12 Gold Phoenix jumped out at me because he absolutely likes the Del Mar surface winning 4 of 6. I would expect the locals to play this guy. He ran 4th last year in this race losing by 2.5 lengths @ 55-1 closing from 10th. Just a head up on this guy who will be just outside the probable favorite #11 Rebel Romance.

My 6 & 7 ran 2nd & 3rd.

Dylan Davis was in Cali yesterday & helped cash a tri getting 3rd. Today he's back @ Aqueduct & has won the 5th & 6 as heavy chalk. True professional doing his job.

Race 4 1st tote flash shows #4 with 72k to win 36 min to post.

We're going to see huge pools today.

Race 4 I had posted the 9 & 10 but I'm changing my mind.

I think Baffert's filly may try to wire this field. She has won 3 of 4 & she's been impressive in victory & goes a half furlong longer here. Just got a feeling. Currently 16-1
