Nice stalking ride by Paco to get up at the wire. #9 Chad Brown's chalk didn't fire. It's always hard to throw his horses out but this one looked like an under achiever to me. Nice way to start the day!

It's always hard to pass up  Wesley Ward in a short turf race & he has #8 Sheriff Bianco currently 8/5. Asmussen gets his #1 jock Santana up on #4 Majestic Tiger. But I've zeroed in on the 1st time starter#3 War Smoke for Jerimiah Englehart & gets Irad who seems like all his mounts are live.

Race 2 

I don't see how #5 Repo Rocks is the Even money favorite. #3 Baby Yoda has joined the Bill Mott barn. #4 Cause of Action I like Eric Cancel geting the ride. #7 Trash Talker was reclaimed & attract Javier.

 Yes. I'm 15 mins away from Monmouth and we are suppose to get some serious rain around 4. Not to mention the heat

Decent $45 double @ Monmouth as 55 year old jock Jose Ferrer on #3 held off the closing chalk with Paco.

Mon Race 4

#1 Whata Guy missed the break in his only try but quickly rushed up to grab the lead but tiring for 5th. He can't give up 4 lenghts at the break again obviously & I like Ferrer stays on board. This guy was well bet @ 4-1 & now he's 10-1.

WP #1

Javier got the jump with #2 (0-13) on Irad with #3 Got Smoke the firster down the stretch. Tough loss for the 1st timer. He goes in the barn for next time

Chad Brown hasn't won a race yet @ the SPA but he's still loaded for bear.

#9 Chattalot just turned 2 years old about 2 months ago & is the 9-5 fav for Asmussen & Santana. He's an overlay now @ 3-1

#3 Newcomb caught my eye. He has improved in all 3 races including winning his last by 5. He has been the favorite in all races & here the ML is 20-1? With Lezcano & Breen both winning at the SPA?

#7 Witsel won by 13 lenghts 7 months ago @ Tampa Bay. Since then he was purchased by Peter Brant & ends up in the Chad Brown barn. Amazing how that stuff happens.
