Saturday Racing

Wanted to post this before I forget tomorrow to do so. It's regarding Race 9 at Oaklawn & #7 Hot & Sultry ML 20-1.

On February 2nd, I listened to an interview with trainer Norm Casse. He said he expected this filly to run a big race her next time out & that's tomorrow.. 

She's working well with 2 bullets but will be stepping up in company. She'll be up against #1 Secret Oath (Gafflione/Lukas) & #3 Clairierer (Rosario/Assman) & #5 Interstatedaydream.

So there's your 10 cent superfecta box 7-1-3-5

Beautiful Chamber of Commerce weather in both South Florida & Tampa.

Nice start getting #9 home for a 5-1 winner paying $13.

Alive in the doubles with 6 & 7

Hunch play here...Irad's mare got scratched & the trainer of #4 kicked off Garcia so that Irad could ride her filly who hasn't raced since November.

Remember I suck at Tampa! 

Irad just gave the filly a workout & never made a move in the race.

Exacta wheel 4 with all

Time for Javier to cash with many of the GP jocks in Tampa today for the big stake races.

Oaklawn Race 2

Tri key 2 with 8-10-12

12-10 but no 8 or 2

Classic Javier ride coming off the pace & finding a spot on the rail to win going away for a nice $38 exacta.

Billy Mott with #6 a first time starter beats the heavy chalk #7 at 23-1!

Great stretch ride by Vazquez holding off the very chalky Pletcher/Repole combo. AND Billy Mott's other colt #5 ran 3rd @ 10-1.

TRI Paid $93.50.

If the #5 could have gotten 2nd, it would have been a really nice tri.

Damn Gulfstream needs to water the turf. 

Javier wins another one on #6 but I ran 1st & 3rd here.
