May I suggest S. Africa's ADR's? I've owned them in the past back when they paid a 10% dividend semi-annually but sold them to finance my new house. As I recall, mine were with Irving Bank in New York.

Just need to add that this was probably 30 yrs. ago and most of those mines are probably gone now? The only ones I remember are Welkom and Saint Helena!
