ugggghh accidentally closed the browser window... I HATE THAT!!!
 
anyways, a new week, lets get those pips
 
events this week considered of high importance (from dailyfx)
 
MONDAY:
-830 GMT - EUR Sentix Investor Confidence (APR)
-1400 GMT - CAD ivey purchasing managers index
 
TUESDAY:
-430 GMT - AUD reserve bank of australia rate dec.
 
WEDNESDAY:
-1800 GMT - USD minutes of FOMC meeting
 
THURSDAY:
-130 GMT - AUD unemployment change
-1100 GMT - CAD net change in unemployment
-1100 GMT - GBP bank of england rate dec.

holding some shorts of EUR/USD and GBP/USD over the wkend...these are more long term bets. they are pretty oversold on longer term charts and im hoping they should drop.  basically hoping for this: https://www.dailyfx.com/story/currency/eur_fundamentals/US_Dollar_Could_Resume_Uptrend_1238799360267.html
 
that the dollar with strengthen on condition as safe haven currency.  esp after these north korean rocket launchings... seems any instability in the world strengthens the USD

I can see why the NZD and the AUD are so strong..both of their "central banks" have held rates VERY VERY high relative to other countries..thus their bonds would yield higher.

Good Luck this week guys. Did good last week other than 1 day, and it was a BAD day..... This one is gonna be better!!!

They are open and running.

So far the USD is selling off versus most pairs, but nothing dramatic.

 Covered my Lb.usd short, had averaged up from 1.4826 to 1.49 (I think I posted that one) and one more at 1.4952 and covered at 1.4739 so netted 87 on the original, 161 on the second and 213 on the third for a total of 471 pips.

The downside is that the Euro is getting hit too so all this gain is not absorbing this Eu.Aud trade..

nice wall, 470 pips is an awesome start to the week!

im still holding my GBP and EUr shorts against the USD.  2 lots each.  both are fairly overbought on dailys and chart patterns indicate bearish signs.  GBP failed to break through resistance at 49.50/90 which is also triple top on the daily's.  hoping maybe throguh the week and next it could come back down to bottom of the channel possibly below even 1.40.

You have to be doing well since both of them are in the toilet today.

What is your basis on both?

I could have held out for more, probably should have..but almost 500 pips is tough to pass up.

well, i got in a little bit too early last week.  brought my average to about 1.3400 for the EUR and 1.4750 for the GBP.  so bascially i have been sitting around breakeven, going into profit, then out.  will hold through out the week in hopes that they drop down as i see it.  if they break any critical resistance (1.5 for GBP for instance) ill be getting the hell out though!

I hope it breaks down more, the EU is right on the 4 hr trendline..

The USD has been low RSI wise against most everything except the Yen which is dogging it against all pairs. I think you have a shot on the USD strengthening..

Interesting..

USD and JPY both very strong in the late session..all YEN pair and the USD pairs are strong...good for you pop.

What up fellas..was out of town for a min there came back late Thurs..im taking off the rest of the week not doing a damn thing!!!
That goes for FOREX as well taking a short break will jump back in full force next week....havent opened it up once since i got home....
 
Looks like you guys are killin it!!!!I see Pop has found dailyfx.com to be useful,great info there....GL guys ill be popping in and out all week....get that $$$$

wall, check out the important events up top... AUD reserve bank rate decision at 430 GMT, i havent looked at the charts or the rate decision, but it was probably unexpected

everythings working out nicely... EUR and GBP weakening and USD strengthening for my shorts
 
EUR also on a daily downtrend that has been holding up as well as teh GBP resistance held up at the top of the range and the triple top (not to mention its been on a LONG term downtrend).
 
might decide to sell half the position sometime today and buy in again if i feel there will be some pullback up.

aud/usd looking like a lot of parallel movement.

I am under the impression that the AUD in general has to COOL OFF, in that pair it looks like it is stalling, almost a week of lower highs and lower lows.

RSI not at a buy even though the +DI is low..

on the hr, chart im seeing a double top and double
almost a perfect M  I will be keeping my eyes peeled for the support of  70.60 or the resistance of  71.23 to be penetrated.

Hey guys. Been in and out today, but really haven't seen much going on. Probably watching the wrong ones. Jumped out early on one today, but only lost a very little. Coulda waited 5 minutes and made some, but, that's my life.
